At the end of an auction do you automatically go to PayPal and send an invoice, send an EOA or both?...

You can't believe the heat I am taking over a $4.00 auction.

I send my own Congratulations, you won letter and never a paypal EOA. There are a lot of new ebay buyers and there is a lot of handholding to get these new users use to the ebay system.

Same here. Even with checkout and autonotifications, I still send manual notifications. Just seems nicer.

I accept paypal because I feel you need to accept online payment to be competitive, but I would rather them write a check or money order. I only send out my end of auction notice, and if they pay with paypal, that is fine.

The reason I asked the question was because this email I received from a winner of a BIN auction.

"I want to use paypal cant you send me a bill that way like most do?"

That's it, no hi or signature no nothing. The only way I knew the name of the person was because they used the ebay checkout. I send a very friendly EOA notice but that was ignored. I hope nobody else gets this bidder.

With a feedback of 2 should be 3 but has 1 negative how does he/she know the way most do it.

If they request a PayPal invoice letter I'll send them one. That's part of the handholding process.
I want their money and will try my best to get it out of them.

Well after having so many dumb dumb customers sending me the incorrect amount via paypal, I send them an invoice. So many people would send the wrong amount, as if they can't read. To get the rest of my money, they have to send money via paypal again. Of course, paypal would get a second cut of MY money! Once paypal raised their fees, I took my seller email address off the account so people just couldn't send me money.

Libra63, from the way you describe your buyer I see a Nonpaying Bidder notice in your future.

Pelores-
Believe it or not the payment was sent about 5 minutes after I sent my invoice. All that hassel over a $4.00 auction.

It sure is nice to have a sensible conversation in here. I really appreciate all your suggestion.

I'm strictly a buyer and I prefer auctions that let me use Paypal.

I don't like Paypal's end of auction notice or billing because it does NOT include the shipping amount.

I always wait for the seller's email so I have the total of the auction plus shipping.

If I used Paypal's invoice only the auction bid amount would be sent, with no shipping.

It's not that we buyers can't read, it's because Paypal does not include shipping.
