I have listed so many NICE infant items of clothing(24 months size and under). These auctions hardly get any hits, let alone bids! What's up with this area? Any advice as to where's the best place/site to sell this type of item?

Older kids' items sell well, esp name brands, but not so with the baby things.

Thanks,

Kim

I have listed several baby clothes auctions. (Not regularly, just as my kids outgrow them!) I've had the best luck with making larger lots of the same size clothing put together.

As a buyer, I know that I also LOOK for larger 'lot' auctions. Those are usually more economical to me once the cost of shipping is factored in. I always take into account the cost of shipping as a part of my overall purchase price.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try that with a batch I have now. I was getting ready to just give them away due to the fact that I was wasting $ on listing fees.

Hi Kim,

I sell (and buy) a lot of baby stuff - the bids are definitely down . It's a very competitive category but I have a few suggestions for you.

Try listing the tiny, tiny clothes in the Other Baby Items category (under "Home & Garden" ) or "Maternity Clothes" and the larger (24mth) clothes in the "toddler" category. - I've had success with both of these methods.

Bulk lots hold appeal because everyone likes to think they are getting a bargain! If you don't already, put a link to your other auctions in your description and encourage lookers to take a peek by offering combined shipping.

Most importantly (this is my personal pet peeve!) - please make sure you list the size in the title! If it doesn't have a size in the title, I don't even bother to look anymore.

As always, a detailed description outlining any faults etc and 1 or 2 clear photos go a long way towards snaring my bid.

Good luck!

YES! Definately make sure that you list size in the title! I won't even click on an auction if the size isn't in the title.

Also, I already have all the clothes for my kids that I need for winter, and I'm not looking yet for summer. A lot of other people may be thinking the same way. Just a thought.

You may want to wait until spring. I heard that there is going to be a baby boom!!
