This is the first time that I have purchased from someone's eBay Store. The seller asked to ignore checkout. The setup is so confusing, though. How do I know that I successfully purchased something from someone's eBay store? I clicked the "buy now" button. It then took me to a checkout page to enter shipping information. I just ignored this and went to a different page. Of course I have received nothing from ebay. Anybody know? I would have thought that there would at least be something that confirmed the purchase.

OK I have not had a sale in my ebay store yet but as I have read when you purchase from an ebay store you have to go through the checkout.

even if you intend to pay buy check or money order finish checkout process requesting an invoice This way the seller will know they have sold something from there store.

If this is a big seller with hunders or thousand of store and auction items ending weekly they may have missed the close with a sales notice from there store.

as well when you complete checkout the summary will give you the sellers Name mailing address and there phone number which helps you complete the sale stores dont work the same as an auction on ebay..

Thanks... I think I'll email them first. I just want to make sure that I don't end up with 2! <smile>

I had a few sales from my store inventory and agree with Dman that sales have to go through the checkout process to be official.

I do use Checkout, and the Stores, but think there is a lot ebay could do to make these cumbersome features more user friendly.

Ideas have been posted on both the Checkout and Store boards at ebay, and here at Auction Watch as well, but to little avail.

And when it comes to the store items, Checkout is not optional.
