Oh gee. Just got back into searching on eBay for my favorite categories after at least a month of moving hassle.

WHAT has happened to "completed auctions"?!! Am I the last to know?

Is there anything I can do about it (silly question, I guess)?

Yikes. ~Adele

If you are talking about the link to view completed auctions......it is now located on the left hand side of your search page under the 3rd catagory box called, "Show Only"....just when something works fine....they have to go and change it! ~smile~

Thanks, NanasTurtles. It worked fine for wallpockets, didn't work for self-representing artists. Is this what everyone has been fussing about over the past month on AW? Is there a petition I can sign? What the heck reason could they have given to change this? How terribly frustrating. ~Adele

Hello Adele,

Things have sure changed! I don't remember
seeing this link on the Search page before:

Advanced Search
To use the old Search Method, click here.

But then I don't remember it being called
Advanced Search either! LOL

How do you like our "sunny and warm" California now?

Joyce: I've forgotten what town you're in. We're in Idyllwild, and it sure ain't sunny and warm today! Hope springs eternal, though. We love being here but our rain gutters are leaking and the work crew that's come to do some carpentry on unfinished rooms is around a lot, making noise, playing their radio, etc., so our quiet spot really isn't as quiet as it can be. We know we made the right decision to move here, but fitting our stuff into new spaces is a terrific challenge. On the other hand, I have a very large office for my computer and crafts and sewing supplies AND for my ebay supplies and items to sell. Shelves, even! Not why we bought the house, but it is a real plus.

The search function really truly is screwed up, I think. I do not understand ebay's need to change what was working. Works against us sellers, for sure, in our research.

Idyllwild! I drove cross-country a few years ago and ended up spending a few days vacationing there. It's such a wonderful little mountain town. I'm hoping to get out there again sometime soon.

Adele....Idyllwild is a great place and I like it especially during the hot summer months! Not sure how the garage sales are up there, but you will be close to Hemet and
I hear that is a great place to be on a Saturday morning! I'm not too far from
Hemet....I can see your mountain from my house in Canyon Lake. Canyon Lake is in the hills above Lake Elsinore. I will watch for you at the sales!!

SUCH a small world! Holdenrex, y'all come back sometime; Idyllwild will be waiting.

Joyce: Can you see our Lily Rock from where you are? We are just below it, on the very edge of town, in the wilds sort of. We've been down to Hemet twice now to shop for stuff we can't find here.

Some of the license plate holders say "Idyllwild--a little bit idyll, a little bit wild." Cute huh?

I guess there are now no moderators to care if we get off subject, right?

But. . . I'm still mad at eBay for fixing something not broke. Grrr.
