Hi,

I just bought a couple of thousand movie lobby cards 11 x 14 and wondered how to ship them? Does anyone else out there sell these? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and hope Santa brought everything you wanted for Christmas!

Linda,

When shipping paper goods, you need to consider several things... bending and moisture are the things to watch out for the most. I ship thousands of magazine advertisements a year. I recommend visiting the website quill.com and searching for stay-flat mailers. These are heavy cardboard mailers that should not bend when shipped. I recommend the self-seal kind, because the kind that closes with tabs can sometimes damage the merchandise inside. You can easily get them in a size that will fit the 11x17 lobby cards.

Secondly, before putting the cards in the stay-flat mailer, you should place them in a plastic bag to protect against moisture damage (i.e. postmen leaving in the rain...) These bags can also be purchased from Quill and 1mm poly bags should work fine.

Third, when shipping the mailers, make sure you write the words "Please do not fold or Bend" on the back of the mailer. It helps to notify mail carriers that the mailer shouldn't be shoved into a small mailbox.... or at least helps to cover your butt if it is! Hope this helps!

eauctionmgnt: Thanks! I checked out quill and have placed an order. Also, thanks for the tip about the plastic bags. I hadn't thought about that.
