I bought one but I don't know anything about them except that my sister has one that she uses to display her doll collection. What do I need to look for to tell the age, manufacturer, etc.? Has anyone ever sold one, and if you don't mind my asking, how much did you get for it?
I don't have a picture yet, am waiting for my husband to put it together. It may take a while.

Dixiebee: I'll take a turn at bumping for you! All I know is that most iron beds are fairly old. I had one as a youngster but *of course* the folks got rid of the "ugly old thing" when they moved in 1948!

try emailing the question to Judith Katz-Schwartz at www.msjudith.net. she is a great dealer in new york and has answered several questions for me. i have even emailed pictures to her and gotten her opinion on the item.
