I sent an item to the high bidder [USPS priority mail, .40 delivery confirmation( no sig), no ins.] and he says he didn't receive it???
As you can see the item was shipped to buyers address and he says he didn't get it??? I have sent 3 or 4 follow up emails being very polite and giving the facts as well as to be patient with the postal system. twice before a week was up from ship date he stated he wanted his money back. I simply cant do that so soon. I had asked him to work with us and the postal service within the 30 days of shipment to see if item shows up. after that I will do a loss form at PO and gladly refund the money or ship identical factory new item.
Now I am a seller "giving a runaround" in his words and he is demanding refund, also he is contacting his credit card about this issue for a chargeback???
What should I do in follow up steps with this guy that should not have a eBay account!!!
I am new at this and I think I am doing a very good job so far. I have gotten 20 feeds and all personal and very positive.
I am in an unfamiliar situation and any advice on the whole chargeback or Crecit Card involvement would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
PS I really don't want a neg FB so soon.

refer to paypal seller protection policy on their website,i think you are covered.
with items 500 dollars or more, shipped to usa address, you need signature recipt, but for under 500,i think dc is good enough provided you shipped to confirmed address.

It's unlikely that the credit card company is going to do anything at this point other than to tell the buyer to wait a bit longer. It's only been 12 days since shipment, you have proof that you did ship, and there have been several Sundays and holidays in there.
Is the buyer fairly new? I've only had similar problems with overeager newbies who are afraid they are getting ripped off. Regular users seem to understand about mail delays and so forth. Have you tried scanning the D.C. receipt and sending it to him? That would at least reassure him that you did send the package.

Hello
Another seller uses this and will refund upon the form return. (Sounds like he has a thief in this house or is one himself)

I need to ask a question. If you get delivery confirmation on a package and the confirmation said the package was delivered how can the buyer do a charge back? Shouldn't that be between the buyer and the USPS? I guess I don't understand chargebacks. Same goes for the soap opera thread. If he guarantees his product to be delivered at a certain time and it isn't, isn't the seller responsible not the money vendor? I sure am glad I sell low ticket items. I can refund from my checkbook if something is wrong. Why people come in here and shout, give us a headache and then say I am only telling you for your own good.
