Know of a good one? I have been looking and cannot seem to find anything. I bought some nice silverplate (Gorham, Rogers and something else that I cannot remember) at an auction yesterday and I really would like to find some information on hallmarks, patterns, etc.

Have you tried Google.com? Type in "Gorham silver" or whatever else you have (one at a time) and you'll be amazed at what comes up in the way of history and links to marks.

Google has saved my life more than once!

roadsmith: Google is my first choice but I was coming up emptyhanded this time.

kiara: Perfect! I found two out of the three on that site.

I would try www.kovels.com This couple has just about all the info you would need on anything you have.
