I was just noticing how many posts here are not related to ebay. Granted..I am guilty of posting here too when it's not related to Ebay and I realize that most people post here because it is the most often read by others. I'm just suggesting that all who post on the AW boards to try to use the right "Folder" . (I personally think discussing Paypal should have its own Folder!). I scan the Ebay outlook daily in search of knowledge and see lots of posts that have nothing to do with "discussing ebay". Just a thought..please dont flame me just because I'm a newer poster.

I think AW should have 2 basic boards. One board to discuss all auction companies, and payment companies, and a second for politics, general news, etc. It would make one big board much busier I think.

Katmommy, I need to see Paypal discussed in eBay Outlook. I am a Powerseller under one id. I buy a fair amount under two other ids. I rarely post to this forum. I come here to read, and the discussions about Paypal are important to me. Paypal is an integral part of my eBay business - selling and buying. I don't use Paypal for anything other than eBay transactions, as do most users.
Paypal threads are appropriate topics for discussion in this forum. Particularly now, it is a critical time for Paypal, touch and go whether the company will survive. If the company fails, or if the company changes (such as dramatically increasing rates,) my eBay business will be impacted. The smart and savvy eBay seller will be prepared for any such contingencies. The Paypal topics on this Board give me information that is critical to my eBay business.

eBay doesn't exist in a vacuum. Most posters tend to hang out in the area that most represents their main interest and will discuss things that may or may not be centered on the principle subject.

I agree with some of the postings above! Many issues, like PayPal, the Post Office, and others are inextricably linked with our ebay selling, and I think the Ebay Outlook is used correctly most of the time. Anything connected with our selling on Ebay is apropos, I think.
At least we don't do what some of the saps do on the Ebay Message Boards and discuss what we had for lunch, how many teeth our babies have, etc., here!
For most of us, the Ebay Outlook covers 90% of what we do on the internet.

I say this topic is not about eBay so you have just done what you think others should not do. I also think if it is not broke don't fix it. I think the eBay outlook covers many areas of interest to eBay sellers and buyers.
Most of us take a quick look here a couple of times a day and would miss a lot of good information if it was scattered all around.

I confess to starting threads about half.com, but hey, it's "an ebay company." And heaven knows that it sure is affecting ebay selling.
The Ebay Outlook board is organized in a manner that allows you to scan the list of questions in about 30 seconds. That shouldn't be too much of a burden for a sharp person like you, katmommy.
