artdoggy,

I posted a thread here as well. I ALSO posted a thread in AW's feedback forum asking AW to help LOBBY to change it BACK.

Officially voice your protest here by clicking on "suggestions" and following links until it gets you to a dialog box where you can leave your protest message:

I have 3 featured items right now and I was really trusting that to pump on the sales on these high dollar items.
What a joke. I tried calling the 800# and when I tried to get through to cust serv it just let it ring for about 50 times then gave me a busy signal. Figures.
I emailed the powerseller email and requested a refund. Let's see if they even reply.
This is the first time I have been really mad at ebay.
Not fair for the buyers or the sellers.

Just got my featured plus fees refunded.

Get this- instead of the old way in which your item was in order of featured listing on page one in the category, your featured item only appears featured on the top of the page on the page for the auction ending day.

Your featured auction will be buried when you first list and will only appear on the top of the page on the categories' first page on the ending day. The rest of the time it is setting at the top of the page but buried on its date ending on page 15 or 20 or deeper.

How's that for adding value to featured plus ?

You wait and see, we'll have to pay $29 or $39 to feature list like we used to.

I just got a $1200.00 refund from eBay. I called the powerseller hotline and complained. I had 60 auctions all featured.

Last night I posted a bunch of auctions, normal first day is about 40-80 hits per auction. Today I had about 5-8 hits per auction.

I'm a gold power seller now but will not be in two months as my sales will fall below the amount needed to maintain gold status. My normal auction fees I pay each month is about $7000.00 Well not no more!

Back to the old fashion way of doing business on the internet. Search Engines! I've been positioning myself for this for the last several months as I thought something like this would happen.

Heres what I believe eBay is about to do:
Featured Auctions: $19.99
Full-Featured Auctions (on first page all 10 days): $29.99
HomePage Featured Auctions: $99.00

Featured Plus is the only way to get your item noticed if the item is something buyers generally wouldn't search for.

Now we have to go back to the old 3 day listing/right ending day/right ending time in hopes that your item gets noticed on the ending day.

What were they thinking ? I suppose the $19.95 Featured Plus listing would have to be a 3 day auction in order for it to be effective. I might pay $6.95 for Featured Plus as it is now, but no way is it worth $19.95.

I think eBay is long overdue for initiating BIN for Dutch auctions- even thought they wouldn't really be Dutch auctions anymore. What's the hold up there ?

I think a BIN on multiple item auctions would speed things up and increase sales. When I am a buyer, I always put off bidding on a Dutch Auction when it is days away from ending. Many times I don't return. A BIN feature would be very effective for increasing sales.

ROFLMAO- Wait until some sellers find out about this after their auctions end and are scratching their heads trying to figure out why sales are down or no buyers until the last day!! Some of them will probably never realize what has happened.
