I also have a Feedback Dilemma. Bidder will not respond to e-mail and I reported to e-bay so I can get fee's back. This person has a Feedback rating of over 800 with no negatives. I have e-mailed her 6
times. If I leave feedback I am afraid of retaliation. What would you do??

I would pull the contact info and call

Could be a medical emergency
could be your email not getting thru for some reson

or drop her a note snail mail ...you have at least 90 days to neg so don't be in a hurry....

I always neg a non-responsive bidder -- fortunately I don't get too many of them. I've only had one come back and retalitate for it. There was nothing I could do except post a reponse. She actually said I should CALL HER before negging her. I should get the info from ebay and take the time to call her???

She did a Buy It Now, the WBN went out minutes after that, so she was most likely still on the computer. And I tried for several days after to get in touch, to no avail. Followed Ebays procedures and that was that.

How long since the auction ended? Did you have your mailing address available right way for winning bidder in case she was sending payment in the mail? Maybe the money order is on the way.

What katmommy suggested IS possible IF the buyer has your address. Do they? Buyer's cannot get my address unless I hear from them -- so email contact is necessary up front. Since he's not heard from the buyer, it is unlikely, though possible that payment is en route. But still, someone who is ebay-active is most likely email-active as well. They should be responding to email requests.

File for all of your fees back. ebay can leave a deadbeat mark on their record.

High feedback means nothing,a deadbeat is a deadbeat!

Its up to you if you wish to leave a neg or not.

Never fear one, they do deserve it. Never waste this much time on any bidder.

I have never felt that its my job to run after anyone, or hold someone's hand.

Would have to increase my fees for baby sitting.

here's what I wrote to a deadbeat:

Just a reminder, payment is expected tomorrow 2/27/02. The auction ended 2/2/02 thus it will have been 25 days since end of auction without payment. At that time I will file a non-payment final value fee refund which may damage your standing with ebay. It is with sincere regret that I must do that, but I feel as if enough time as passed for payment to arrive. I have been told numerous times the check was in the mail and that check has never arrived. I will file negative feedback since your end of the transaction was not met. I will also report to [email protected] any retaliatory negative feedback that will be posted on my ebay user id. I held my part of the bargain and feel as if I did not do any wrong.

What I do all depends on the previous feedback. With 800 positive and no negs I would definatley pull the info and call. Could be a number of legit reasons and with a good track record I always guve the benifit of the doubt and try and make phoen contact first. It's not very hard and the cost of a phoen call is minimal and good business. On the other hand a low feedback with numerous no pay negs and I may not bother to take the time to call. Just let the appropraite time expire and file a npb and then the dreaded neg. Of course every one has a different way to do it and none is perfect. JMO
