OMG, that is so funny and true! It kinda makes one wonder what items people are hording away, that they would normally THROW away!! Some people are born pack rats, others are learning.

Thanks for the fun post!

Hi, yes masujoviga that thought did cross my mind. recently when I read Becky's Mrs Santa Clause's cute thread on how to get a kid to clean. I said to myself, I wonder if this was reversed and my kids came in and started selling things of mine on ebay. They will probably be sentimental and at least keep one thing. (lol) Well, I hope they do alot better with the stuff than I am now.

The reason I posted this is I came across, in a book I bought, what I thought was a worthless piece of paper. Turns out, I sold it on ebay. Led me to think, I wonder if the people who manufactured such piece ever thought that someone might actually think it was worthwhile years down the road. Thus fueling my second thought...what of mine now is so indifferent to me that might be valuable to someone...

Holy cow, I had better get rid of those porn movies the I made years ago. I would hate to see those get in the wrong hands.
LOL

Probably more than you realize! I purchase from estate auctions, often items not familiar to me. I learned a long time ago not to judge an item by my personal feelings for it. For example, in a box lot I won, was an old enema kit, c. mid to late 1800s. I was going to throw it away! A friend told me to list it under the medical categories on ebay, and I did. It sold for nearly $500. Nuff said.

Well Nuff said except for one point. I started that auction with "I don't think anyone will want this but..." HaHaHa talk about eating CROW.\

I wonder how many oldsters are eBay selling the stuff that that their kids would ordinarily get if not for eBay? The oldsters pass away and the kids head for the attic or basement full of old stuff and find it all gone. Not to the goodwill and not to them but instead it all went up on eBay.

It came with several "attachments," and a nice dove-tailed box. The rubber hose was so old it was crystallized and nearly solid. Hopefully the buyer didn't feel nostalgic and try to use it!
