I came across a sealed "BUDWEISER LIGHT" can. Note the BUDWEISER and not BUD. When Bud Light was first introduced it was named Budweiser Light. This rare can has FIRST EDITION, NOT FOR CONSUMPTION, NOT FOR RESALE, printed on top... Now, here's my question...if I cannot resell it, can I combine it with a widget in an auction as a FREE BONUS to the widding bidder of such widget? Thus, technically, not selling the can???

I would just sell it by itself. Promo items, while not supposed to be resold, get auctioned on ebay everyday. I've sold a number of older advertising promo items and never had any of them yanked. The promo items that the corporations might get aggressive about are things like CDs and videos that are being sold before the official release of the music/movie. But an older beer advertising item like this could be sold without any need for clever rules circumvention.

Budweiser Light was around for about a year in 82 and 83. Budweiser Light items do generally sell for more than Bud Light but they are not rare. I believe those cans were given to the accounts when Budweiser Light came out. I have sold a lot of Budweiser Light items but not cans. I have seen quite a few of the those Budweiser Light cans. I hope that helps! Melanie

If the can is unopened, be sure to read eBay's rule about selling alcoholic beverages. Basically, you'll have to make your opening bid or reserve high enough that no one can mistake it for anything other than a collectable. Also, don't forget to put the proof of age statement in your auction.

If it's the same as in this auction (and assuming this seller knows what he's talking about) then it's only filled with water. Not that I'd recommend drinking a can of 10-year old water.
