This has happened three times in the last two weeks and never before in three years. Non working emails from bidders. Why would someone do this??? One person had not been on ebay for about 6 months-they got shut off when I complained but did correct matters and finish the sale. Another contacted me thru a yahoo email. His email appeared to be phoney perhaps he did not want to be bothered? Then the third phoney email actually had a feedback of 2 but no contact and no sale. So what does everyone else do? Then how do you fet your money back from ebay??? I don't want to tie up my item for 6 weeks while going thru ebay long recovery process. Who can afford this? I think it is a scam by ebay.
Prepare for the worst but hope for the best!! Spuddy98

write to [email protected] ... they will get NARU and you can move on...

Similar thing happened to me last week. Started the complaint process for NPB, sent e-mail to safe harbor, relisted item, blocked bidder and am moving on.

Sometimes bidders use a junk e-mail address so they aren't bothered. They never check the e-mail except to empty it out occasionally or just leave it and open new e-mail and start over. Frustrating, but true. My good buyers deserve my time and effort, not these deadbeats.

Lots of people that had @home.com email addresses are having trouble getting their email. Even though they jumped through all the hoops and reconfigured their computers before the changeover was final on Feb. 28, the process was not as easy as they were led to believe it would be.

A lot of them don't even know all their email is not getting through. Seems like some does and some doesn't. The email was supposed to be automatically forwarded to the new email address after the changeover, but that is not always happening.

How do I know this? I was one of the ones who had an @home email address. I can't count the number of emails that have been sent to me since Feb. 28th that are lost in Cyberspace forever. I've been playing catchup since the switch and know that there are sellers out there who think I am a deadbeat. I'm not, but of course they don't know that. I was smart enough to call the sellers and explain the problem, but many newbies may not know they can or should do this.

It has been a a real pain in the keester for those affected!

In addition to the comcast.com email address, a lot of them now have attbb.com, insightbb.com, etc., email addresses.

Before I would report them to Safe Harbor, I would pull their personal information and give them a call. Doesn't seem fair to get them NARU'd for something that is not their fault.

If you don't get a response to a phone call THEN I would head for Safe Harbor and turn them in.
