Have you ever gone to a estate sale and found something that you thought is a real fine,haul tail home to list that wonderful treaure,and then the dissapointment to fine that theres 30 more like it listed and none have bids,makes me so mad,grrrrr.

Been there......done that! But an even worse feeling is when you see something and have your doubts......pass it up and then go home, look it up and see what you shouldn't have passed by!

I had both things happen at the same estate sale. Picked up a worthless old Kodak, passed up a WWII vintage teapot. Of course, neither category did I know anything about. C'est la vie.

Last year I listed what I thought was a rare item. Turns out there were 2 pages of this same "rare" thing. I took the word "rare" out, and it sold right away after relisting it.

The lesson to be learned is "be cautious in dealing in things you do not know."
I used to attend live auctions,and would be shocked at the price people would pay for baseball cards, people who obviously did not know what they were doing.
Now this does not mean you should pass up deals on items you are not familiar with always. Just do not spend big money on your purchase.
