It looks like an advertisement for something. Do I see bananas on that apron? Nothing else in your great aunts items that would suggest what she visited there when she was there. I guess if you don't find out here you will have to make a trip to the library.

hi,i just returned from japan-these are just store logos with name of store,phone and fax and address.
some have a few descriptive words about the products and store,very common in japan

Stopwhining: I guess I'd still like to know what those aprons say, especially since one buyer has asked. They may be cross-collectibles (apron plus product) and I'm kicking myself for not finding out before I listed them.
There's an arts academy here in Idyllwild which attracts students from all over the world, including Japan. I'm going to take the 3 aprons there tomorrow and hope I can find someone to translate.

I can't give an exact translation, I can give you a general idea what they say. Maybe you can make two bits out of it.
The first photo is complicated but it says something about an adult person, could refer to the owner.
The second photo 2nd line, says, something starts at 1, ends at 2. It does not refer to time in any way. Starts again, mentions a friend, then it refers to 2, and again identifies a person. The last line identifies people, maybe a business, and says something about the people, perhaps they're friendly??
Third photo also identifies people, most likely a business. Looks like a similar business from pic two. Most likely a banana farm, looking at the logo, and it says something about the people who 'work' there. First line identifies another general type of person. Before the phone number it says something about the middle. Middle of what I don't know. Final line says something about adults, which may mean "call us", as in call us adult employees/owner.
That gives you a little idea anyway.

none of them explicitly say what product they are selling.
the first one has 4 words which said the best product,the others have name and addr and phone.
unless you know the store and logo,u can only speculate ,best is ask japanese students who know,exp if they live in tokyo

I just made out one word, right above the logo of bananas. The swoops indicate it is a foreign word, which makes it easy for us to sound out. It is pronunced ba na na. Translation: Banana.

Hey, don't you guys have a life? I'm so pleased that I've been able to bring a little humor into your lives.
I've gotten a genuine Japanese person to tell me what the one apron says (the one with the large round thing in the middle, sort of like a space ship or space helmet).
She says the words are Japanese slang so they're a bit hard to translate. First line says "the best quality." The middle icon is a good luck charm like a hammer or mallet. You shake it for good luck. Sometimes called a "treasure mark." Bottom line reads "Big discount store."
So you can leave that one alone and concentrate your twisted humor on the other one, for which I'll probably have a good translation in an hour or two! But. . . thanks for all your "help!"

Okay, all you jokers. Get serious now. Here is the definitive word on the apron with the banana bunch on it:
Words at top say "Banana Tonya," meaning banana distributor. Below the banana bunch is the name of the company, "Matsuko Shoten," which means Matsuko Distributing, and the address and phone number are given.
On the back, the company name, address, and phone number are repeated.
