I have been on the AW Power Plan since it started - 3/14/01.

First there was an announcement that it would be eliminated.
Then an email said they would renew the power plan at the same $200 per year and 5 cents per auction for a limited time only and limited services.

NOW with only 4 days to go. Still AW has not answered my questions. I for one am getting nervous. Prior to the email that they would offer a limited power plan, I was looking around for other places. I decided to stay if the limited services still fit my needs. BUT I still don't know what the limited services are exactly and AW does not want to seem to tell me.

I guess they want me to leave. I spent about $400 last year with AW which will not make them or break them but still! They should not leave us hanging till the last minute!

RichieRich,

Yes! I am starting to get a little nervous too! I was very excited when I received the e-mail from AW stating their intentions to allow users to renew their annual power plan with limited services. Now... I'm starting to worry that it won't be ready in time. What's going on AW? When will we be able to renew our yearly plan? Answers would be very helpful at this time!

RichieRich,

I spoke too soon!!! AW has come through for us! The yearly annual plan is available now. Go to your My Account tab, then click on your Payment Plan. It will work you through the steps to sign up for the new plan! Hope that helps!

Yes, I know they have finally made it so we can register.

BUT they still will no answer my questions over on the Auction Manager board. My original post was the day the email came out. I can not even find it.

I am concerned that they have made it so we can register but do not know the true meaning of "limited services" yet. I would hate to pay $200 for a year to find out to use the services I need I will need to up grade. Since they will not tell me, I think that is what is going to happen.

I think it is time to move on to a professional service. NO professional service WAITS until the last minute. 4 days before they start to expire they roll out a registration form. MAKES me wondering what has happened to AW. And worse, it makes me wondering what is going to happen to them within the upcoming year.

I too waited for this annual plan and it looks to me that if we use it, we have virtually NO post management sales options available to us. So, I've waited all this time, to get a basically useless option, unless I'm not reading this correctly... anyone agree or disagree?

Richie, when you post on the boards, if it scrolls off before they see it, they won't get a chance to open it. Try posting again. Also, click on the customer service tab and send an email directly to customer service.

I have sent emails. They reply with an answer that doesn't answer my questions.

Right now, I am totally upset with AW as they have left me with no place to go. Upgrade and pay 3 times what I paid last year or leave. I should have ignored the email announce of the renewal of the Power Plan.

Oh Well!

I think that, like most services, you have to evaluate what you are getting for your money. AW appeals to those who like prepackaged services much in the same way as AOL is a pre-packaged ISP. Most serious internet users leave AOL. I would think that the same is true of auction sellers when their needs and volume reaches a certain point.

As long as you do not use the post sales features it appears everything else is available. The templetes, scheduling advantages and image hosting all remain the same. Just no post sale with the annual plan which I don't use anyway so I love it. I run about 675-1000 auctions a month and have yet to find a post sale service that I can't do faster with my "home made" system and spreadsheets. I think Maybe I should package that and try selling it
