I sell on ebay & half.com. I opted NOT to combine my ebay & half.com accounts and changed my email address on half.com. Since doing that, I haven't received any book orders on half.com ( I was averaging about 3 or 4 sales a week)even though I received an email thru half.com from a buyer saying he had just bought a certain book and please not to enclose an invoice with it. I got the email but never got the book order. Maybe i'm being paranoid but I started thinking maybe half.com is not sending orders to sellers who opted out. Is anyone else that opted not to combine accounts still receiving book orders?

hi, I'm getting orders from Half just fine. I opted not to combine and also changed my email address like you.

I suggest you log into your account at Half.com to check and confirm your orders directly there at the site. Also doublecheck your profile that they now have the correct email address listed for you.

Thanks enchanted. I did check my account on half.com and there are no orders. It was a $200. book the guy said he had ordered from me. Maybe his credit card didn't go through or something. Darn, I really needed the $$$.
I hate not being able to talk to the people directly.

Half has been very slow for me lately, but the orders I have been getting are decent amounts.

It's not uncommon for an order to get canceled by a credit card foulup.

hi mballai and iwannabuy!

a $200 order ... I'd be unhappy if it didn't go through too. I'm impressed.

If someone wanted the book at that price, so will another buyer, it's a good sign. Another thought occurred to me, maybe the buyer took the book out of the shopping cart. Although a credit card problem is probably the real answer.

If you want to check if your Half.com email is going through ok, ask someone you know to purchase an inexpensive book from you and see if you get the notice.

I'm with you mballai, it seems I'm having an easier time selling a $10 or $20 book on Half and the $5 books are just sitting there.

Thanks mballai and enchanted. I just got a book order on half.com ($8.00) so my account is working. The $200. pricetag is why I'm so frustrated over the sell that never went through. It is by far my highest priced book. I did once sell a $40. book on half.com but most of my sells are $10. and under.

I actually did opt to have my half.com and ebay accounts merged, and I have sold absolutely nothing in the past month! I've just been wondering what's going on, so now I'm off to check my account and e-mail address on half.com. . ..

I wrote half.com about the problem when it happened. I just now got a response. They said they are having problems with their check-out system and some orders are not going thru. Just Greaaaat!!!!

That explains a lot. I expected things to be a bit slow and people being a bit hesitant to order while some eBay/Half changes are about to take place, but this is ridiculous.

One more day to go and I'm running about 50% of an average period. That is stinko.

Thanks for posting their response, Iwannabuy.

Yeah, it is a little disappointing.

one thing that Ebay seems to do really, really well though is collect their money, so I would imagine Ebay/Half will make it a priority to fix this particular problem
