I would like some opinions about whether having an ebay store is worth the $50? My initail thiking is it would not be for me as I only have about 15 auctions going at any given time.

But if anyone finds these to be an asset please let me know!

I believe the $50 a month is the cost of a featured store. It is not worth it.

In fact, in my experience, it is not worth the $10 a month they charge to open one, plus the auction listing and FVF fees.

Someday ebay may overhaul the stores feature and make it useful and productive, but for now it is a disappointing misfire from them.

No shopping cart. Listings not included in regular search. Poor layout and design. No traffic except what you drive there.

I have decided to open an eBay store - mainly for exposure on the eBay site. We have 4 web sites, and 2 do an exceptional job, but since we can no longer link to eBay it makes driving traffic to the sites a bit harder, and because we handle many redundant items, and choices there of, I believe it will at least pick up some of the buyers we may lose from the web sites - at least it is little to invest for a bit more advertising and exposure. I don't expect a great deal through it, but can't see it would hurt.
