I have, right at this very moment, FOUR people who are claiming that they sent me a money order and I have not received it, and THREE that claim they have not received their uninsured packages. One or two, I might believe, but SEVEN? Any suggestions? Stop accepting snail mail payments and shipping without insurance?
Edited to add:
This does not include the one person who really did mail me a MO on Feb 19 that I received March 22.

I have become a firm believer of eBay's BillPoint. They can either charge it or the money will be deducted from their checking account if they use BillPoint, and then it is almost immediate that you get your money. BillPoint does charge a fee (like .35 cents for a $5.00 item), but just add that fee to your shipping costs and that would cover that. As far as shipping, I always send mine Priority Mail WITH delivery confirmation. This way if they claim they didn't get it, you can track it on the internet. I have never had a problem with receiving my money or buyers receiving their packages. Good luck!

For those who sent payments - Depending on their location in relation to you It can take awhile - Ive had payments from seattle Wa take 12 days to arrive as per the postmark. Give it 10 days then ask your bidder for a copy of the money order rcpt or ask them to file the money order or check as being lost in the mail - Ask them to send a new payment but be nice to them - If you take your items directly to the post office you should have a receipt with the item zip code and city on it = proof of shipping If you are using a third party shipper and lost 3 items in a row - perhaps its an employee with sticky fingers. Mabe your address ink is smudging in shipment and ends up un readable. Im guessing - could be some are slow shipping and mabe one or two people are playing you.
Good Luck

It may be possible the mail delivery person mailed those letters to the wrong address, and from there got dumped in the garbage.
But I'm guessing these are scammers. This actually happened to me, and I said send me a copy of the check, or bank statement, or anything to show they sent payment, and all they did curse me and call me a thief. Totally uncooperative. Never heard from them again. If they had sent the money, it would be far easier to get some proof sent to me then go back and forth for three weeks, and still end up with nothing. These scammers do come in droves, they think alike and so therefore have the same timing.

Are you in Indianapolis by any chance? They just arrested a lady there with her car jammed full of stolen mail.

You are not the only one, I just recieved a payment, and it took over 2 1/2 weeks to get here. I also mailed a sign 1st class, on march 7, the buyer emailed me last night, and said it just showed up at his house in the mail. Thank goodness, and he gave me a glowing feedback. I have a package that I mailed in early feb, that had the printed Edc on it, and has not showed up yet, and no scan on it at all..................................................................................................................................................I also have a question for you all... I have had a number of buyers say that have mailed payment, and it gets returned to them.... address is correct... is this the new scam for killing time.... I have had like 4 buyers tell me this in the last month........wondering if I should ask my PO about it............................................................................................. I hope that one turns up. ...... I think with fedX handling the mail, things are worse, and I bet they are going to get even worse, Just my 2 cents. Thanks TL

We've had several customers recently reporting their packages have not arrived after a couple of weeks or so, even had one that has been 2 months. We send a lot of media mail and I know it takes longer but it seems it comes in spurts. Sometimes they get delivered as quickly as priority but then other times it takes a long time.

It's been pretty bad lately, I also have had an increase in non delivered packages. I don't know what is going on here. I hate using USPS insured mail, but I am seriously considering changing my policy to not insured unless you buy insurance (currently, I do not insure inexpensive items, and replace if they get lost. I automatically figured in insured mail rate for over $40 items...
