The Public Eye is a movie starring Joe Pesci (also starred in all the Lethal Weapon movies). When I first saw it advertised I really wanted to see it, but held off until it came out on tape/DVD. Then I didn't see it in the stores too much, but knew I could get it any time through my video club; so I put it off again. Now I can't get it through my clubs, so I decided to check eBay since they usually have hard-to-find things. Sure enough, they have a few. Unfortunately, it seems other people are looking for that same movie. What gives with this movie? I still haven't seen it and hope my bid wins. I prefer a DVD but there aren't any, so VHS it is. Even if I get it on DVD later, I doubt I'll have trouble reselling the VHS. I believe it is out of print.
If any of you sellers come across the movie, I think it will be worth your while to eBay it.

Huh? I have three copies available on my website for $5.95 (VHS)
I see lots of completed auctions with no bids for this movie.
Doesn't look like any big deal to me...

I have a rare copy of:
"Bonzo Bares All"
starring Ronald Reagan, Baby Rosemarie, John Ireland, Albert Speer, Mr. Bojangles, and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver.
Interested?

How about a reasonably priced VHS of Urban Cowboy (John Travolta and Debra Winger)?
I don't have one, I need one.

replaymedia,
Maybe I looked at an odd time. Last week I did searches by title and actor and came up with nothing for The Public Eye.

tomwiii,
ROFL!
Actually I've never seen a Bonzo film. Believe it? I did see one of Reagan with an older Shirley Temple.

I just figured out what OOP meant, I thought it was the name of a comany LOL! How could a copy of a DVD be OOP so soon? I wish I could find one of these sleeper treasures!!!

A year ago, I bought Pasolini's "Arabian Nights" DVD in a used video store for $7.00 -- sold it for $80.00 BIN in 1 hour on eBay!
Water Bearer Films stopped production, and, as "they" say, the rest is history...

If you do an eBay search on Joe Pesci, his stuff really sells good. I figured he was relatively unknown and people would be unloading his stuff for $1. My all-time favorite of his is My Cousin Vinny. If you haven't seen it, please do; it will bust you up. His fiance says the F word more than Bruce Willis, but it is extremely worth it.

Criterion DVD's (Salo is one) go oop very quickly. Sid & Nancy and Spinal Tap Criterion go for $$$. The first issue of Little Shop Of Horrors brings a good price as well (not the reissue)... DVD's are highly collectable. ( I have about 1000 right now...that's where all my eBay money goes...)
Almost all Criterions go away VERY quickly...blink and you'll miss it...

I guess I blinked. I've never pursued buying vids for resale because they seemed high risk. OTOH I like buying them for myself from eBay. Ya jusk gotta know yer stuff!
