Is there anything stopping a seller from the United States listing directly with any of the international eBay sites? Does anyone know the rules for selling internationally?

I am wondering why you would need to sell on one of the International sites. If you list on eBay.com and list "sell Internationally" it will appear on all those sites. The only advantage I can see is if one of those sites has a free listing day.
