I understand sunday is a busy day for auctions to start and close, any hints on favorite days or times to start an auction?
thanks in advance!

I like to close Sunday night or Monday morning. But the ideal thing is to have auctions starting and closing every day. This could mean money in the mail box every Day.

I agree with wwtraders1. I have tried to get my auctions up and ending on Sunday but I don't really like working on the weekends and that makes me feel I need to be near the computer all Sunday afternoon. And Heaven forbid, I miss Six Feet Under on HBO.
I like auctions ending everyday as well, gives me something to look forward everyday!
I understand it all depends on what you sell.

I'm a teacher and sell for extra cash. I like to run 5 day auctions, (I know as a buyer, longer ones frustrate me if I'm on the opening end!) from Mon. to Sat. That lets me send out notices Sat. pm., and get packages ready to mail on Sun. I also am getting auctions loaded, ready to launch on Mon. I make a PO run Tues. during my planning period, and later in the week, as needed. I average 20 auctions per week. I also am on my 2nd week of starting everything at $1.01, but that's another thread!

I'm only a casual seller, but I like to start on Thursday and end on Sunday--you get two full weekends in that way! I think that probably works best for unique or scarce items so people have plenty of time to see them.

SD has a great counter. You can see what hour your item was looked at by how many people. If you used it and cleared it daily you would have your answer. In a way.
I keep track of my daily increases. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are bad days for me. So I quit listing on those days.
The other think is that history shows if ebay is going to have a problem you can bet it is going to be a Sunday.
I believe it depends on what you sell.
When to end an auction is when the bidders are bidding.

I like to do a 10 day so it spans two week ends. You get max exposure to the people who don't have time to look during the week. But I always list things buy it now - with the BIN price close to the opening bid. That way if someone really wants it for $1 to $5 more they can get it and not worry about the bid being sniped out from under them or waiting so long to finalize it.
