Now that HalfDot has merged their feedback into ePay's system, there is an interesting new 'feature'. HalfDot sales appear on the seller's eBay feedback page and you can now rate the buyer which was not possible before.
In addition, the buyer's email addy appears there...something I predict will not last long, since HalfDot does it's best to stay directly inbetween the 2 parties at all times.
The buyer's at HalfDot in my experience are flakier than the crowd at ePay and I've gotten some rediculous feedback in the past. Now I can retaliate and so I have a new policy:
I don't leave feedback until and unless the buyer leaves me some first.
The silliest one I got was from a $5 Cdrom game in jewel case only. I wrap these in paper, then clear tape all around and send them 1st class for about $1.00.
I got this to the buyer in about 2 days from the monent they ordered it.. nearly record time.
So they gave me bad feedback. They claimed it was so poorly wrapped the jewel case "could have been damaged."
How about that. It wasn't damaged, but the 10 cent jewel case could have been damaged, in which case they would have installed the Cdrom and then returned it to me for a forced refund.
It's sure not a level playing field. I've had games returned to me from HalfDot sales I made in perfect condition and been forced to refund, just because the buyer wasn't happy. Yet on ePay recently I bought something I needed right away, paid for it 5 minutes after the auction ended with paypal, and the next day, the seller emailed me he was going on vacation for a week. I guess he didn't check his Paypal account before he left. So I emailed him (he was getting his emails on the road) that I could not use the item at a later date and to please refund. So he got snotty and refused, telling me how smart he was because he was in pre-Med. Then he shipped it to me when he returned. So I've filed complaints with both Paypal and eBay and haven't so far gotten as much as a reply in 2 weeks and 2 tries each.
