I just received a credit card payment through paypal. I am planning on upgrading to accept the payment because it wasn't the buyer's fault I made the mistake in the listing. It's all cool with that. My question is this:

After I click this button to upgrade, will I be able to click a button to downgrade it again or what? I know you can downgrade the account again, but I've never done it myself, so I would like to know what will happen and the procedures for it. I haven't been able to find the procedures at the paypal site. Thanks

I was told you can't downgrade your account once you upgrade it.

Now that would really suk.

I haven't upgraded yet, I'm wanting to be fully informed first and the info at the paypal site seems kinda vague.

Once you have upgraded, you can downgrade again just once. I did it, and was told that if I upgraded again I wouldn't be able to downgrade any more. I have kept my account downgraded, it is a bit of a pain at times, but saves me a lot of money.

I just went through this. If you click on the Help link at the top of the Paypal page and enter Downgrade Account into the search box and then click on the "can I downgrade my account" link, in the second paragraph is a click here link. Click on that and it will take you to their online mail form. Put in account downgrade for the subject and then just put something as simple as "downgrade my account" for the text. In a few hours, you will get an e-mail telling you all the wonders of the Premium account and giving you a link to click if you are really, really sure you want to give it up.

The link takes you back to where you started, the mail form. I put in account downgrade for the subject again and told them in the message that I got the first e-mail and yes I was very sure I wanted to downgrade. I got an e-mail a bit later saying it would be done in a couple days and it was.

Well, I have solved this delima by opening a premier account for the cc payments. So now I have a personal and a premier account.

I didn't realise that you could have a personal and a premium account. I couldn't find anywhere on the Paypal website where you could have both. It would be very useful to have a premium account for International accounts, but I want to keep my personal account. Does anyone else have 2 Paypal accounts?

Isn't there a limit to how much you can take in with a personal account?
