I'm a silver powerseller but I got there in a hurry. I still don't know the ropes too well. For instance, my auctions tend to be graphics heavy in an area where most sellers don't bother with them. Fine but because it is film, I've found I've got to be somewhat careful or I'll get suspended in a hurry.

Every so often I get my cage rattled because some member of the net police complained about one pix or another.

Anyway, to what I'm thinking. Billpoint, after a 24 hour suspension for showing Kirk Douglas kissing Jean Simmons in Spartacus, pulled my merchant status.

I much prefer Paypal anyway because comparatively I pay relatively nothing compared to Billpoint. The question is, does Ebay really care if you dump Billpoint?

Could it be a factor if I have another run in with them?

What exactly was the cause of the suspension? Copyright infringement? Considering your status, I'd be more worried about not repeating the violation.

Unfortunately, ratting out other sellers is a usual occurance on eBay. But the other side of the coin is, if 99 out of 100 sellers are playing fair, and one seller is "bending the rules," then that seller has an unfair advantage.

Believe it or not, it was considered sexually prurient. The outline of her breast could be seen. It's a famous picture.

If I was a guy that believe in conspiracies, I'd think they were looking for a reasons to yank the merchant status from a bunch of heavy sellers.

What would my merchant status, which relies on volume, have to do with one picture?

And Wells Fargo, which controls the money, came after me the following day. With thousands upon thousands of sellers, they keep up with suspension reports that quickly, including a decision?

Hmmm, that does seem odd.

Just an outline of her breast?
I had an auction run for 10 full days about a week ago, it was for a book on fake postage stamps and the picture I showed was two cows in a "love embrace"... Now I am shocked that it ran till the end!

The suspension was a result of a complaint. The way I read it is that some over-zealous kid that they have running through these thousands of complaints did it on their own. When I contacted the powerseller team, the suspension was immediately lifted. For show, that it was not an Ebay error, they sent me a copy of the "allowables" and I had to say I read it. That was a few months ago.

My original question was does anyone have a feel that if you drop Billpoint, Ebay cares? They are definitely not seller oriented.

Lacking finding someone that has experience in this area, I'm dropping Billpoint.

Drop them faster than a hot potato. The best way is to just quit clicking the icon on the seller page and only list PayPal as the only online payment you will receive.
