I received this email today that contained that wonderful Klez virus - I get 2 or 3 of these a day and Norton quarrentines it everytime. But this email says it's from me. It came back to me undeliverable. I did a virus scan and came up clean...I think this was discussed before, but I couldn't remember. I'm [email protected].

So if Norton can't find it (and they've been quarrentining the ones that come in) is it same to assume that I don't have it? I have gotten it 3 more times today since I started this thread.

Hello
First update Norton
Second run full Virus check. If nothing comes up you are clean. I assume you have firewall. If you are on dial up you might get away with out a firewall for a while but if you are on cable you need a firewall. Norton utilities are like safe sex; you don't want the results of the other. Some posters here get upset when I mention a product but the purpose of this reply was to be helpful. Good selling

Thanks, I'll do that. I don't have a firewall, but I have a linsys router, and I thought there was a thread once that it acts like a firewall. Is that correct?

You may or may not. It depends on how often you are updating your Norton A/V. I have automatic update & had 2 updates yesterday. I have a friend who got infwcted by a bidder on eBay because he didn't update. He paid $130.00 & lost 2 days on the internet to get rid of the Klez32 worm.

Yes, I am told that also but if I were you I would go to an eletronic store such as Office max,Office depot or a computer repair shop and ask for details. (I do not have a router)
