i was going back and forth with a neutral left to us today, with my rebuttal "i beg to differ, we feel this item is "old"" .... they got to respond a 2nd time explaining my observations as "ignorance" ... ... so, i got these 3 items on my feedback page right now, their 1st neutral, my response, they got to "follow up" with their remark about us being ignorant ........ i can't seem to reply any further on my ebay fb page about that one ...... ... ... .... what i want to do [and don't yell at me for being an early positive fb giver] is leave a "follow up" on THEIR fb right after my orig. 'positive' remark to them .... anyone know if i can do that?

You are out of luck. The only way you can get the final word now is if they respond to your comment in their feedback file.

BOIL THIS DOWN, SIMPLE, THEY NUETRALED YOU, YOU RESPONDED OF COUSE WITH AT NUETRAL BACK. THEN THEY DID A RESPONSE. AND THEN YOU RESPONDED AGAIN. IS THIS CORRECT?

OR, YOU ARE VAGUE, YOU SCREWED UP AND LEFT A BUYER FEED BACK,,,,,,,,,,1ST? JUST WANT TO CLEAR IT UP.

You are not out of luck. You can leave a follow up at any time.

Go to http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/feedback.html

Then click 'Review and follow up on feedback you have left about others'

They changed that quite a while ago. You can leave a follow up at any time now.

I almost left an incorrect response here. I thought you were leaving another response to your own feedback.

Infact, you can leave a response to the positive you left. This by the way is the proper step. Leave a truthful follow-up and don't add anything that makes it look like a retailiation. Once you leave it though, it cannot be changed or added to. Only one response is allowed.

Forgeddaboutit.

You give these turkeys too much power over you. They got you thinking and planning, devoting time. Block them from your auctions and your head. Use the time to create another auction. They mean nothing.

What a difference a day makes .... thanks all for your input ... i *did* find where i can 'review and respond to feedback i have left' [which was a + to them], but now i'd just look pretty stooooopid leaving a nitpicky addendum onto it i think. [pretty much like the nitpickin' he/she did on my fb page] ... ... ... forceten's advice sounds about right at this point in time; 'fuggedaboutit.' ... .... fuggedaboutit for NOW. hehehehhhh ...

I would definitely leave a response for this reason. Saying nothing encourages the person to believe he can be rude and get away with it. I would respond with this statement....
"This person gave me an unwarranted neutral...be very careful"
This raises a warning flag to other sellers and hopefully sends a message to the offender that abuse is not an acceptable practice.

It is my experience that what eggs these people on is attention. Bad attention, good... makes no difference. And, as a seller, I would not base the decision to enter, or not enter, into a business deal based upon one or two previous squabbles the person may have had. Two sides to every story.

That is not to say I wouldn't neg a thief or someone who was scamming. But I'm not the neighborhood attitude adjuster.
