In our family when we go to the yard sales on the weekends we go as a whole family. My husband, two kids and myself. We have a rule that you can onle say Ebay when you are in the car or at home. And if you find something at a sale that I want to sell on ebay- you ask if Aunt Susie could use this. This has worked just fine so far. We named our mannequin "Susie" that we use when we take piuctures for our auctions on Ebay. The children are little but understand that Susie isn't real and stays in Mommy and Daddys closet till it is time to take pictures. The other day I had some friends over and my daughter was giving them the grand tour of our house. My daughter introduced everyone to our dogs outside and our cats inside and all her Barbie dolls and then she walked thru our bedroom and said she also had an aunt susie that mommy says likes to stay in the closet. One of the ladies said," oh my- in this day in age- still in the closet." She got down on her knees by my daughter and said,"Susie is a very special person and with our love and support of her lifestyle we weill help her come out of the closet." My daughters eyes got so big and said, "really?"

Reminds me a little of when Ross Perot made his run for President. In one speech he mentioned a crazy aunt in the basement ( reference to Federal deficit ) and he caught hell from the mental health advocates.
