I have some old train track, but I don't know what guage it is. The rails are 3/8 of an inch apart. Any one here know?

Sounds like N gauge to me. That is the smallest, then HO and up to O gauge and up to back yard size.[garden railroad]

Check the model section.

There is a gauge smaller than N Scale and larger than O Scale.

SCALE ....... Z ... N .. HO .. S .. O ..Gn3
Proportion 1:220 1:160 1:87 1:64 1:48 1:22.5
