I have had several people e-mail me lately stating that they couldn't view my Ebay ads. I launch them all with AuctionWatch. Has anyone else had this problem with their ads?

If the people viewing the auctions are using Netscape and you have any HTML in your listings you probably have an open HTML tag somewhere in the listing.

Hope this helps.

ok the only thing i noticed that may be causing this problem i stha you have javascript in your auction which is no longe rallowed by ebay.

i think the javascript is for the paypal logo which i see doesnt show up in teh auctions either.

i could very well be wrong so someone with a little more html know how might prove me wrong. im not going to tell you to go in and remove parts of the html because i dont want to screw up your auction if im wrong.

go into paypal and have it so it does not insert the paypal logos into your auctions.

I tried to view the auction, I was able to view the auction using Internet Explorer but not Netscape. This problem has all the symptoms of an open HTML tag...

I noticed that you're using a template. Do all the auctions use the same template and have you used this template before? Maybe a missing tag in the template...

I noticed that when I view the auction in Internet Explorer the background in the lower part of the screen is completely black. Can't read the information printed in black in the bidding box or on the lower part of the screen...

Paypal does not automatically insert their logo in my Ebay ads. I did that by copying the logo from Paypal and inserting into my global preferences with Auction Watch. As for the template, that could very well be the problem as I haven't been using it too long and the complaints from bidders not being able to view my ads probably started at about the time that I begain using it. I will definitely change it for my next auctions (it was a template from Auction Watch). Any more suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for all the help so far!

You could always mention the problem with the template to the AW staff in the Sales Manager Pro forum... If there is a problem with the template they would need to fix it and may not be aware of it...

If I could ask one more favor, would someone mind trying to view Ebay ad item # 713831930. This ad is a relist in which I used the template that I had been using for a long time with no problems. This would help me narrow down the problem. Thanks

The customized template "flower retro" is the culprit. My Lord what a mess!

I would definitely try another template for this particular auction. Close the auction or try to edit the code manually.

I have been advised by the Auction Watch forum that the problem is with the HTML in the Paypal logo in my Ebay ads. I have revised the ad and removed what I think is all of the Paypal logo HTML. Can someone using Netscape try to view my Ebay ad item # 2054158634 and report here whether there is any problem viewing it. Thanks

I want to thank all that took the time to help me with this problem. It was the HTML in the Paypal logo-I never would have guessed. As Jackie Gleason said to Alice, "You're the Greatest". Thanks again!
