I want to spruce up my "About Me" page and I would like to add some images such as a US flag or a SF 49ers logo, etc. How can I download these images off the internet and get them into my photo editing software where I can save them and then upload them to my image host?

Easiest way is just to right click on the photo and select save as or just save.

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR YOU TO TELL US ALL THAT? MANY HAVE COMMENTED ON YOUR NAME BEFORE AND YOU SAID NOTHING. NOW WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO POINT OUT THAT IS YOUR NAME NOW?

Yep, just trial and error is sometimes the best, I don't think any of us were born with computers in hand...

I know I have alot to learn about posting pictures, can gather them by the gigabyte, but not good at posting them like Kira

You can search for images with internet search engines like google and altavista. There is a tab named images near the search box. Select that instead of the web tab.
To find many high definition image renderings or 3D images use the phrase clr gif as the search criteria.
