I decided to put a credit card on file with paypal. It is a card that I use only for internet puposes and I got it for just that reason.
When I tried to use it at Paypal I got a message that said the card had been blocked from the system. I have never had any problems before. I called the issuer and they said that they have had a few others say the same thing when trying to use it with paypal.
My question is: Does anyone know if paypal blocks certain cards from certain issuers?

PayPal usually takes a few days to verify the CC account. They do the same if you use a checking account, too. I've had a few newbie customers that wanted to use PayPal and they had to wait three to five days. If it's longer than that you may want to check with PayPal.
There are some issuers that do high risk accounts. Providian would be one example. Or if you were using a secured card, ie. one you had to depoit money for or buy a CD as collateral.
