Hello,
I have been trying to print UPS shipping labels for an auction.
I can't do it because I get the following message:
"Your payment for shipping cannot be processed because it exceeds your available balance. To raise your balance, you must add funds to your account. Please note that it may take 3-4 days for any funds you add to become available in your PayPal account."
I have plenty of money in the account to cover the shipping costs. I am able to pay for auction items using my balance, I just can't pay for a UPS label.
I printed a UPS label last night without a hitch.
Is anyone else having this problem? I have emailed paypal, but I have not gotten a response yet.
I posted this in the paypal forum, but it is pretty dead over there. I hope you guys will have more info.

What's the connection between UPS ( United Parcel Service ) and PayPal? Do you pay your UPS account with PayPal?

If someone pays your for an auction with paypal, you can print a UPS shipping label and pay for it right then. All you do after that, is drop the package of at a UPS outlet.
The customer gets an automatic email and UPS tracking number from paypal.

Thanks biskitsandgravie. I had no idea that PayPal had that option. That must make it nice if you ship with UPS a lot.

Actually I never shipped with UPS until they offered it. UPS is cheaper than the postal service for what I sell.

I know this may be off track of what you are trying to do (use UPS direct from Paypal) but there is an alternative. I ship using the UPS web site and when it asks for payment, I use my Paypal debit card. All the features are the same. The customer will get an email with the tracking number and I get the Paypal payback (1.5%?) for using my debit card.
