This sounds like a pure case of "buyers remorse". They simply changed their mind and do not want the item. Chances are they bid on more than one and bought the cheapest. I would check their completed items for this. They are using the + Feedback with sugar on it to intimidate you into feeling like you must comply with them.

If this is a newbie, they need to be made aware that his is not the way Ebay works. Explain the expenses and fees and the bidding is a binding contract and that you do not cancel orders after the end of the auction.

If they are new they may go throught with it once you have communicated reality to them. If this person has been around on ebay for a while, They should know better. I would not give in at all to an experienced Ebayer. The Feedback ball is in your court but more importantly, if this person is trying to pull a fast one they need to get a NPB strike form Ebay.

After reading this, I am inclined to think this is an oriental person. The language or the use of English leads me to this. Send it to Safe Harbor & go on from there. Is this a newbie?

Doesn't really matter if this is a newbie or not...you can't force someone to pay for something they've already decided they don't want. File NPB, wait the time, then file FVF. After you get your FVF refund, file a neg.

Then move on.

It is still too soon to file a NBPA.

Don't give in to this person. If you want to be nice, tell them that the only way you will let them out, i. e. apply for the fees that you have incurred - which will in turn give them a NPB strike, is if they will send you a check for all the fees including Listing.

Otherwise tell them that due to the fact that they are still "impulsively" bidding, you will not let them out of this. If you do they will continue this behavior with all of us. My opinion is that they just don't want it.

Throughhiker put it very well. The buyer sounds like a nineteen year old kid that has always managed to talk or beg his way out of jams.

Well, if I was the seller, I would give a negative, block them, and file a refund. You probably won't get payment out of them, but you won't get a neg...

My suggestion is that you charge them whatever the 'fees' are (should include your time for having to deal with this deadbeat). Once the check clears, or the paypal. Neg them. Just because they paid for the fees doesn't make this a neutral or positive experience. They are deadbeat and a bad influence on Ebay. Help us to get rid of them. (while helping your business to grow)

Hello
First let me say this happens to us all. We all have had a $9.00 item listed get 5 bids closes at 24.95 Winner is a “winner” like our subject. Number two bidder doesn’t want item. Later had to relist and sold for $9.00. How much did this guy cost? A heck of a lot more than listing fee of .30 cents. Plus he will go from my action to yours and do the same darn thing. My rules are thought out before hand and I follow them, I do not respond EVER to this type buyer over once. I file for final fees in 14-21 days. I block bidder as soon as a problem appears. I collect final fees, which hits the buyer with strike one and I DO NOT issue negatives. Issueing negatives hurts the seller not the buyer as you are here for the long hall and they just bounce out get a new handle and bounce back in. Spend your time wisely listing items, collecting funds and shipping

I would just file for the fees when it is time. If 3 or 4 sellers do that that person will be NARU. Don't bother with the negative unless he gives you one first then tell it like it is. Why waste any more time. They might pay you with a check that is no good. Block the bidder and also block him from sending you email.
