Hi Folks!
I really need some HELP...PLEASE!
Here's the story:
About 6 mos ago, I sent my elderly aunt a WEB-TV unit as a present. Although she's in her 80's, she's pretty KEWL lady & really wants to "plug-in" with the internet!
Anyhoo, she's having a duece of a time figuring-out how to use it. I know it's simple, & I could probably teach her in 5 min, but I'm in FL & she's in NEWINGTON, CT, &, since I know little about WEB-TV, I can't really help her on the phone
So, what I was hoping, is that one of the WEBBIES here would be willing to give her a call & maybe some pointers? I'm more than willing to PayPal you the amount of the call + whatever you would feel reasonable for such assistance
If any of you WEB-TV experts are interested, please email me at:

Hi Tom!
I'm in South Florida (NW Broward County.
I have NO clue about web tv.
BUT if she is not far from me, I may be able to help out.
{A million} Years ago I was in electronics & helped many elderly clients with their vcr's, answering machine, hooking up cable & the like.
I'm not a dummy if it is relatively easy to figured out!
Do you have any idea how difficult it is?
If I can get her started, I'm sure others would be willing to e-mail here some web tv tips.
lmk if I can help......

She's all connected & everything -- the problem seems to be that she can't figure out how to navigate around the WEB-TV screen...so, she has trouble with emails etc! She lives in CT, so, I was hoping for someone in the Hartford (NEWINGTON) area

Is she already signed up with billing? If so, navigation is simple.
I remember when I first got going it was all kinda weird getting used to the idea that you can click on words and all. I'm sure she's having the same feeling. She just has to click on the words "email," "favorites," "messenger," etc at the top of the screen. Or, use her keyboard shortcuts that also say "mail," "Search," etc.
Have her use the arrow button or scroll button on the keyboard to move the curserer to the clickable words.

I searched webtv keyboard and came up with the fabulous site. This should help a lot.
I loved my webtv but it was so long ago I can't remember how to use it. If you are doing a search on webtv be sure that is the way you spell it not web tv. It is one word.

I live in Newington, and although I'm less than a guru or techno wizard, I can usually get connected. My girlfriend had been using Webtv for years, so I suspect that it is not a problem, as she is electronically deficient. Email me at [email protected] if you want me to try to help.
