I fowarded that type of email to ebay and they told me it is definitely a fraud spam.
One giveaway is that they Carbon Copy it to seven people which would not be ebay's style, and the email does not originate from ebay, although some scammer could use a fraulent ebay address.

Thank you for the heads up! I remember last week someone posted here that all emails were availible on line, I had no idea what that could mean. I guess I dont' think like a crook! gotta go change passwords!

I get these scam letters on several of my email addresses and have always ignored them. I figure if it from Ebay and they don't have my card number or password then they will shut me down and then I know it's legit.
Also I have been receiving the same warning letters via my web site address at Yahoo asking for my password, and my security key which no one gets including AW.
Fake Paypal letters are also going around and most of these are easy to detect as they do not originate from the actual sites they are pretending to be..
Best suggestion is to ignore all of these letters. Ebay has your phone number if they have an issue with your account. Not that I would ever expect they would call but you never know. I had Yahoo call when I had a setup issue on a Yahoo store I was setting up for a friend and PayPal has a contracted company that checks if your account is showing any irregular activity. They called me once when I was on the opposite coast for a weekend using my PP Card just to make sure I was aware of the charges.

This week I got one of those letters, except it said Bidpay. This was the variation of click here, and log in to show your account is still active.
