I thought this was against Ebays rules?

This person has lots of auctions running like this and I wondered how he was getting away with it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=922715406

He is stating in title 700+ 45s then when you read the description it says you are bidding on 1 45. Your choice if you are the winner.

Yea looks like a case of fee avoidance. I am sure they would pull it if someone turned him in. Of course the discussion of turning someone in for something like this opens up a whole diferent can of worms

In this case, the person is getting hundreds of listings for the price of 30 cents. He can then negotiate offline with other bidders, or just relist and be sure he sells at least 1 item for each 30 cents and since he has around 12 to 15 of these he isn't making a fortune, but he is saving tons of Ebay fees.

Then again, it must have taken forever for him to actually list out 700 45's in 15 auctions. I wonder how he does relists? He probably just goes in and deletes the last persons choice and then just relists and starts over. A pretty neat trick if he gets away with it. A few auctions and he can relist forever.

I wasn't as interested in turning him in as I was in finding out if it was allowed. I would love to do the same. What a great way to sell. But, with my luck, I would be shut down the first day!

Isn't this what is called a "choice" auction?

After reading closer, he is not only offering choice in the ad but stating you can buy as many as you want to for the final bid price. Definite fee avoidance there!

He will pay FVF on the 1 sale but could make substantially more without paying the fees on others as well.

Noticed he has six negs ... being as it is another boring night here at my house, decided to see what was up. Most of the negs were the "usual" ... scratched, lost, etc. But THIS one is CHOICE! "Complaint : Ad stated "cover damaged", did not expect it to be covered in cat urine . Response by pakams - Very Edge had 2-year old dried cat urine; barely noticeable. . .I offered refund Follow-up by madmarchj - The smell wasn't barely noticeable.

EXCUSE ME? very edge had 2 years old dried cat urine? Did he date it or what? And *I* think my life is somewhat boring ... I don't keep track of dates of cat urine. Well, now I have something to do tonight! But, first, I must find a cat ... ta-ta!
