Maybe this has been asked before but I was not able to find it. Has anyone used the PayPal money back guarantee in thier ebay auctions and what do you think about it.
Thanks

From what I understand, if you've been selected to participate, you're using it now. You have to physically go into Paypal to turn it off. I think it's a great idea. Doesn't cost us, the sellers, anything. Returns are done strictly through Paypal and we won't be affected. At least that's how I understand it. If anyone knows different, please enlighten me. Of course, Paypal makes more money off of it because it's not free to the buyer. It's a good idea especially if you are selling high-end items. Instead of the merchandise coming back to the seller and the seller having to issue money back, it's all on Paypal. Sounds good to me. I just hope Paypal knows what they've gotten themselves into.

One other thing, the buyer can only use it 3 times in a year.
But if you are a highend low volume buyer, paypal could be eating some merchandise. After all, I have a broken Hummel and win the auction for my replacement, I pay for the guarantee, tell paypal it arrived broke and send them my broken one and get my money back. All I actually paid was the paypal fee for the guarantee. SWEET!
