I do not freakin' believe this. Why do I pay listing fees, anyway?

Little Miss I-won-660-auctions-last-month-and-I-can't-pay-you has been having a grand time giving me the runaround (she's the one who begged eBay to tell me to stop harassing her for payment).

Her sob story to eBay got this response:

Subject: Re: Fw: Non-Paying Bidder Appeal ! ()

Hello xxxxxx,

Thank you for writing about non-paying bidder warnings on your account.

Normally we require proof of payment or email evidence to be provided
before we will grant a non-payment appeal. However, since this is your
first appeal, all current bidding infractions from this seller have been
removed from your record without any further inconvenience to you.

Thank you for writing to resolve this situation. Good luck with your
future eBay transactions.

Regards,

Chester

She has been emailing me the most OUTRAGEOUS lies...and now eBay is her enabler.

I am a PowerSeller. Do I have ANY recourse? She apparently is paying some of her other sellers; those auctions were for small amounts.

I do have several dozen more FVFs to file on her next week. Perhaps those will stick.

Recourse ? When eBay goes to HP, or Disney, or IBM to get them to sell on eBay, they don't tell them about the sellers on ebay, they tell them about the millions of buyers on eBay.

eBay values buyers above sellers. It is much easier to replace a small seller than it is to replace a buyer.

I doubt if fluffy is a small seller if she is a powerseller. Now let me think out loud. If I bid on several auctions and then I decide I can't pay I just write ebay that the seller is harrassing me and they will write the auctions off? Great I was just practicing anyway. It's to bad we can't post all our nonpaying bidders so that everyone can block them.

What is a sellers recourse? Wow that is unbelieveable. I have heard everything now.
Did you write ebay and send them their emails along with the headers to show them the kind of emails that they are sending.

Well Merry Christmas everyone, watch your back.

I am a power seller - well it was offered to me but I did not sign up for it. When compared to HP, IBM or Disney, I consider myself a small seller and easily replaced.

Am I a small seller? I guess that would depend on your definition of small.

I had 1380 successful auctions in November. That's pretty puny compared with someone like Marie, who lists at least 500 auctions every day. Individual sales tend to be under $10, so by that yardstick I am also small.

Power seller means squat to ebay, they only worry if the graft does not come their way.

As for your bidder all you can do is sent in all the emails from her, block her from bidding and email.

If she is real hard up sent her over here and get her to write up a good story an let her beg for money so she can pay her sellers.

I could use the entertainment.

Fluffy... Can you go back & refile the NPBA or has too much time elapsed? If so, do it.

Were you or are you able to file the FVR against her? If you can, do it.

Add them to your blocked bidder list.

Be VERY CAREFUL when filing FVF. Yes, the bidder didnt pay, yes you want your fvf back, BUT did you know if a bidder tells ebays you used NPB and FVf as means of harassement to obtain money that they owe you, you can get suspended? When you file eiher NPB or FVF, a warning is written to sellers....
---------------------
Using this Form as a tool to intimidate or coerce your buyers into completing the transaction may be cause for suspension.
------------------------
thats right, if you FORCE a bidder to pay for money that they agreed to pay you, you can be suspended. Becareful, be very careful. So fluffy, if you file any more FVF to this bidder, and she tells Meg's people, you can be suspended!

If they did't pay, there isn't a problem...

ironking: I know of the warning of which you speak...and I've always thought it was a cheap shot on eBay's part at sellers.

I mean, geeze, think about it. How many sellers badger, intimidate and harrass bidders compared to how many bidders just plain don't pay?

Those two numbers aren't even in the same county. Can't be.

I'm continuing to file NPBs and FVFs. There's $18 I can't get back on listing fees, but I'm going for all the FVFs I can get.

Fluffy, I am with you all the way. I too am a small time powerseller (been one for a whole 2 weeks!) But most of my auction run up into the $100's. I too can't afford to lose thr FVF's, some which run over $10.00 per item.

Why dont they just quit refunding the damn fees and be done with it? I figured something was wrong because for sometime I was turning in NPB's and nobody was being kicked off. Some had -2 and -3 feedbacks. eBay is scaring sellers from getting their money back thus sellers are not turning any in.

Let them kick off every seller that has NPB's!

Here's today's email from deadbeat, in response to one FVF. I get mail from her every time I file an NPB or FVF but have long since stopped responding since a response would just produce more excuses and lies. I don't believe more than every fifth word of this missive, for example...

-----
I can't write a check because my account is in the red. I have been paying all that I could. I can't mail a money order because I have to live on the cash I have.
They found my boyfriend in Tennessee and he flipped out or something because he in hospitalized.
I can't press charges against because something is very wrong. This is not like him. Everything that he has done is not the man I know and loved.
I am not a dead beat bidder. I have paid some of my other sellers late and some will wait.
I can't go any deeper in the hole. I am struggling to keep everything on here at home.
I know you need your money or you have to relist the items. I have very good feedback and I was planning to sell on eBay before this happened. I do not want to lose my standing in eBay. I will not have many Christmas presents to give either. I had planned on my wins with you. There is no money to pay you or purchase other gifts.
I do not understand why you have not responded to my emails either.
I am contacting eBay regarding this. I have 5 sellers I can not pay at the moment.

Is there anything we can work out? I am really sorry. I should not have let it stack up like that. I should have paid by the week or each win or something.

I have over $600.00 in charge back fees the bank is supposed to reimburse. I have to go south to find out what is going on also.
------

I'm really hoping the "5 sellers I can not pay" part is true. Maybe there is a higher power and her booty is gonna be booted off of eBay.
