don't send the merchandise. You might not remember but about a week ago I posted that a friend ordered a video. Auction ended Oct. 30 and she still doesn't have the video. She paid an additional charge for insurance also so she would be guaranteed that either the video or her payment would be returned. She received two email from the seller. One when the auction ended that he was sending it and the next one was in a response to hers that she hadn't received it and he told her to wait a week email him again if it didn't come. She did that and now has heard nothing. I have never had that problem because I never buy any more. This seller is a power seller and I only know part of his seller ID. Should she email powersellers or who? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If something gets lost in the mail that has insurance the post office makes you wait 30 days from the mailing date before a claim can even be opened. It can be a long process.

Hi Libra,

You may be able to find some help on this page.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/fpp.html

Your friend could follow through on this:

"Rules and safety, member problems, selling offenses, I sent money but haven't received the item."

Not sure if ebay will do anything but at least the seller is reported and he may be put on file in case he has a habit of doing this.

a co-worker's son bid and won an auction for a car engine,...$2200.00 total.

they paid half with credit card through paypal and half with money order...

after the seller had received and verified that he received all the money...there was no more communication from him..

his phone number was disconnected and he refused to answer any emails.

they reported him to ebay, nothing.

they had to drive to the next state..where the seller lives...to file small claims court..he didn't show for the court appearance either.

they were able to do a chargeback on the half paid with credit card but are probably out the other half.

Ebay does not care...the police would do nothing...and the guy is still selling on ebay.

A video???...good luck.

I you are e-mailing the powerseller and they are not responding, this is an immediate grounds for a negative. You may not ever receive your item, but it will warn other potential bidders of the crappy service this typical powerseller doesn't give.
