I have been using Shipping Assistant downloaded from the USPS website for a couple weeks now and suddenly it quit working today. I printed one label and when I tried to do another it froze up and wouldn't go to the label screen. I logged off and tried again and the same thing happened. I just downloaded Shipping Assistant again in case something got corrupted, but it is still doing the same thing. Is anybody else having trouble printing the labels from Shipping Assistant? I get the delivery confirmation number ok, but when I ask it to do the label, it freezes up. Thanks for any help you can provide.
when u press Display Label... they open the label up in an Adobe Acrobat window... and I duno, but I think PDF files are some of the slowest files to load...
how long did you wait? I guess you have been using for quite awhile, and things shouldnt' be different..

And it drives me crazy sometimes and I wish I could tell you how to fix it, but I'll tell you what is happening.
For some reason Adobe wants to load and check for updates. If you'll do a "control alt delete" you'll see it trying to run. Yes it does cause everything to freeze up. If you can ever get behind the USPS screen running, you'll see a box where you can click on "don't automatically check for updates".
Ususally I end up crashing the screen and having to reopen it, and once it does, it usually doesn't check for that update again.
The good news is that you get endless numbers for DC
The best news is Endicia is working a LOT better for me these days and I think I'll keep it after my free month's trial.
Sure beats standing in line in December!
