I am just sick. I got two negs today. One I deserved, I filed a Paypal payment before shipping and did not know it until the neg popped up for non-delivery today. My fault 100%. I shipped, gave the buyer a positive and admitted my mistake under respond to...

Then I get socked with another neg. This one for a Rap CD that someone with 0 feedback deadbeated me on... I had not filed NPB yet, so I did. And I dropped him down to -1. I am just so mad. I made a mistake and took my medicine. Then some jerk has to sucker-punch me. -Merry Christmas... My feedback is still okay I guess... 3429 unique pos, 12 neutral, 13 negs... I guess I've seen worse profiles.

Sorry- Had to vent.

Neg for a neutral? I don't think so.

I'm seeing a neg coming around the bend. Bidder won item at half of what it usually sells for. Her first email to me complained of "exhorbitant" handling although I charged only actual postage. Then she began emailing every day to see if her payment arrived. She needs the item like yesterday as "a gift." Even at Christmas she expected to mail payment and have the item within a week. Now she said the item arrived but doesn't work on her computer. (A gift, riiiight.) Item was new in box.

After some 30,000 sales, I don't know why it still bothers me. Sometimes a neg isn't enough. I'd like to go upside her head.

Ah kyms, sorry to hear that.

Would have been nice if the buyer emailed and asked where the item was before leaving the neg. We've all human and mistakes do happen. There was one time when I hadn't received an item I'd purchased, emailed the seller she too had forgotten to ship. Offered me free shipping for her error. [Very nice]

On your second neg - I really believe ebay needs to set the program so that when a seller files a NPB alert no negative can be posted. But in your case....oh brother. How low can some people go? That's a shame. Hope you have posted a response in the FB this yoyo left you. Anyone reading will clearly be able to see what's going on here.

Venting is good Try to cheer up. When we're doing the best we can and something like this happens we sometimes tend to give these issues more importance than they deserve. Try not to let it get you down.

Morning
I know exactly how your feeling, and it just is something that you can't control when that happens, and you know you don't deserve it. It's sad how some people think they live in a bubble and do no wrong. I say, they need to use better judgment before placing feedback. They don't seem to realize how Dumb there comments sound.

A buyer gave me a Neutral because the post office took too long to deliver.......Well, like it was mentioned Here, You stand still with a Neutral so why bother to leave it. And it was not a deserved Neutral either.......... So like yourself I was fuming..........I wrote to her and asked.......WHY? .....and told her, well lets see if you like your feedback I will be leaving for you.......She said, well, you can't give me a Neg. cause I paid you. and a neg. is for when people don't pay, She said, what are you going to do Lie????......I said, no I don't lie in feedback, I say it how it is.......and yes your right a Neg. is for none paying bidders.

So, I went and left her a NEG........saying Paid on time, but Slow PO delivery blames me.
I want people to see what they will be dealing with when she bids on there Auction, does she think she is so perfect?
Well, she wrote to me and was shocked, saying she didn't deserve a Neg. I wrote back and said,.......HOW DOES IT FEEL TO GET WHAT YOU DON'T DESERVE???????........
I feel I have been to understanding all along with buyers doing dumb things,................ like giving me a Neg., and I still returned there money because the post office lost it.......I'm tired of being the good guy,.......Time for buyers to feel what they make me feel, Its Child's Play, but that's what they ask for...........Just Venting.........which I have wanted to do for a long time.........Thanks for Listening

We just went through the same thing. Got 2 negs from non paying bidders after we left neg feedback for them. We will still continue to leave negs for all non paying bidders though.

I had a bozo file a neg on me. Sometimes AOL will not allow Emails in from Hotmail. He is a hotmailer and I am on AOL, rather than pull my contact info, or hit the contact seller at the auction, he just filed a neg. After I got into communication with him, he sent a check (3 weeks later). I left a Nut.

Ah! Negs are the only *Neener-Neener* that the NPB losers have! When you file on them, you ~hurt~ their poor widdle feelings and they just have to pay you back!

I have 5 negs--four from NPB's. One from a lady who refused insurance and pkg. didn't arrive.

I'd be happy to carry these things around with me if I had the SATISFACTION (or dissatisfaction) of earning them!

Oh Well, can't win 'em all, all the time.

Almost every one of the Negatives I have
ever received (Yahoo Auctions, BidVille
and eBay) are from NPBers. A fact of life!

Why does eBay allow non-paying bidders to give feedback? If you don't buy anything from me why would you be allowed to criticize my business? You would think that after I file for FVF the transaction would be finished.

Ebay allows it because...what would prevent an unscrupulous seller from filing a NPB on a seller, even after the seller has already paid, and paid promptly, if the seller felt that the buyer was going to leave a negative?

In other words, (1) bidder pays promptly, (2) seller ships item, (3) bidder receives item and is dissatisfied (item not as described), (4) bidder emails complaint to seller, (5) seller totally lies and files NPB with Ebay on bidder to head off any negative.

It'd be great if there was some way we as sellers could eliminate the possibility of retaliatory negs from NPBs...but until Ebay can figure out a way to positively verify that a bidder was indeed a NPB (and not just take the seller's word for it), they aren't going to discard the feedback tool from the bidder's arsenal.

simple solution o not file a NPB ALERT, JUST BAN THE BIDDER FROM BIDDING ON YOUR ITEMS,the feedback system is flawed and i am not gointg to rack up negs until they get it fixed.

Dejapooh,
I tend to dissagree with you concerning the situation you spoke about in the above post. I don't think your bidder should have left a neg but somebody has to take the higher ground here and since you have already indicated that you are aware that your ISP blocks his ISP then it might solve a lot of problems if you mention, in your EOA that her email might not get through. We could make the argument that it is just as much your responsibility to pull their contact info, maybe even more so since you are the one with the knowledge that communication might break down.

I happen to be on the other side of the tracks as my ISP, Earthlink, AOL's next largest competitor, is blocked by AOL at least 25% of the time. This may not be so much a competitive salvo like I would like to think. It's most likely the way AOL folks configure the spam blocker however, it happens and it creates quite a communication problem at times. Since I am the one with the knowledge, I have to be proactive. It is a pain but if I would just sit back and wait for them to figure out why they didn't hear from me I would probably get more negs too.
Don
