Grrrrrrrrr!!!

Has anyone has experience with this before? I know eBay's system is jammed and that is why the listings are stuck in processing - if the items never go through are we just SOL with our free listings because of eBay's poor systems management and load anticipation?

eBay's boards are saying nothing of this or what they are doing, when it will be a little better.

Have any of you veterans seen this before? This is my first Free listing day and so far I've gotten ONE item listed with 40 in processing (times out twice already). ANd if everything does get listed at the 11th hour - who's shopping at midnight anyway!

ok sry for the rant words of encouragement or understanding of this would be appreciated~

Sandra

Yeah, it happens pretty much every time.

If you didn't get your AW auctions launched already, it's time to quit and do the thing manually while you still can.

ooooh so I was using turbo lister and some items wont go through.

so I went ahead and close that, and manually insert them through ebay's form.

Then suddenly I have one duplicate! I guess one item went through afterall.. instead of emailing ebay about that 35 cents I guess I'll let them have it. I'll eat the cost.

Well - I talked to eBays teck support - they say it is a AW issue and other 3rd party listers are not having this trouble. Who knows. I am so bummed becasue I really like AW - and will continue to use them - but I had over 200 auctions scheduled - like I am going to be able to do that manually.... sigh.

I guess auction watch would not even dream of crediting an account for the lost dollars because their system just happens to die on the one day when you really need it.

Well so much for my first free listing day. On to manual listings...lol.

Whiteowl - I don't think I was too clear in my previous post.

It's not totally AW's fault either. Almost *ALL* auction services have this problem on FLD. My service (not AW) got half my auctions launched early this morning, but the other half appear to be frozen. I've come to expect this, and I'm happy with what DID launch.

Their systems are designed for whatever load they normally carry and run great 364 days a year, but they aren't going to upgrade for one unpredicatable day every year.

My main point- If you like AW the rest of the year then don't quit because of today. Most other services can't handle the load either.

I use Turbo Lister and my auctions listed normally, about a half hour ago. This is a normal listing day for me, so I am not doing anything differently because it happens to be a FLD also.

It's ebay. There is no way they can handle the load. Things started out very fast in the morning and got slower and slower as the day went on. It's this way it is every FLD and the third parties and image hosters get overloaded too. It will get worse as the evening wears on.

It stopped me in the middle of listing to sign in again and then it keeps telling me I'm not the original lister so I can't complete the listing - any suggestions?? I have one account and the id and password have been the same for 5 years!!!!!

It did that to me a few times today. Now it has halted the listing completely.

this is exactly why I NEVER list on FLD. not worth it. Auction never end at the appropriate time and its nothing but a headache. Heck I cancelled 75 auctions that were to launch today as soon as got notice about the FLD. good luck to those who have auctions still try to chug in !

We are posting one auction every 20 seconds and have been for 18 hours - about 1 hour Internet provider went down. There has been maybe 3 times cause of Page not found we had to do a manual restart.

It is not eBay trust me.

Lanefamily - I agree. Mine posted flawlessly early this morning and then my service got clogged up. It's now spitting out auctions every few seconds as well.

It's not eBay, it's the auction services. The servers are designed for normal 364 days a year estimated loads. They just can't handle ten times the usual work on a FLD.

It's a pain, but they ALL do it.

To be honest, my service (A different place with the initials AW) is doing better this time than ever before. It looks like ALL my auctions are indeed going to post, although there was a 5 hour pause in the middle afternoon.

Never tried running this many at once before. I've done 4000 or so on Yahoo's FLD, but never had more than 200 or so run on eBay before. This time, I'm going to surpass 9000 listings on Ebay.

I'm almost afraid to think what next weekend is going to be like...

Your Lucky, I was just reading some bad things over on the eBay boards about the other service that started with an AW.

That is when I cam over here to see if it was the same old here as usual.

I used to be AW a couple years ago. Now I am solo with AT and love it. Like I said unless eBay is totally down I get to list.
