If Ebay ever has another FLD (they have had nearly 5,000,000 items launch today), maybe they will do it by segments.

Everyone with a user id starting A-D on one day, E-H on another day etc. to prevent this backlog.

Just a thought, but the delays are very disappointing to many sellers.

I anticipated the problems and launched 499 items at 12:25 AM. They all went up without a hitch and I took the rest of the day off. But, for those out there trying to list all day, it has been a very difficult day.

I think the 'E' day would still have problems. There are a lot of ebay@ ID's there.

Wouldn't work, sellers would just change their ids to an A name.

I launched a ton of auctions and had no problems, but I don't use AW or any third-party.

I scheduled a bunch to start on Thursday when I heard about FLD Wednesday. I figure 10 cents per listing is still a much better deal than 40 cents per listing. Looks like those auctions started promptly.

Maybe some of the problems were with your third-party services?

What do you use to list? Surely you don't go through that nightmare listing page Ebay uses? I took one look at the 5 or 6 or 7 pages you have to go through and ran back to my service.
