I have a buyer (630+ 13- feedback) who has yet to pay for an auction. The auction ended Dec 28th. How much more time should I give them to pay up? Also I bought a vhs tape on half.com. The seller (271+ 2- feedback) never confirmed the buy and half.com axed the deal. Should I leave feedback?

Well Dec. 28 is only 6 days ago with a holiday in the middle. How fast do you think they can pay. Did he contact you? If he is sending a check remember no postal delivery on three of those days so it will take awhile and maybe he went away for the Holiday. Be patient. We all want payment yesterday but it doesn't work that way. Sometimes you wait 10 days. What do you say in your TOS? Do you expect payment within a certain amunt of days. If he doesn't pay you in a couple of days send him a friendly reminder he might have just forgot. Good Luck Sorry I can't help you with Half.com as I know nothing about how they operate.

I see you a new to eBay. Welcome, this is the right place to be for asking questions because there are many knowledgeable posters in here.

I read your auction description and you don't have anything there about your payment instructions. The only place you list them is in your check out. If it was me I would put that in your auction decription under Terms of Service. i.e. What forms of payment you take, How much is your Shipping and Handling. If and when you expect payment by. Will you take international or canadian buyers. These things I feel are important and will help your buyers. Good Luck on eBay and I am sure there are others that will come in and try and help you.

Hey Libra63: thanks for your response... Yeah I guess I'm sorta new. I've really haven't sold that much. 39+ rating so I'm getting there. I guess I'm confused on what else I should have listed in this particular auction. I put paypal/certified check/Mo as the payment options. I also put shipping to US only. I usually put payment must be received within 7 days of auctions end but for some reason forgot it this time. I need to standardize exactly what I put in auctions. I guess the more consistent you are the less stuff falls thru the cracks.. Thanks....

I send payment reminders at 10 days, file Non Paying Bidder at 14 days. Relist in 21-30 days. But I am very patient.

There are exceptions...for instance the buyer receiving recent negative feedback.
