How true is the color in your photo? If indeed it is a creamy pink, it may be Cambridge Crown Tuscan. Not all Cambridge had a molded mark (their triangle with a 'c' in it), some I do believe a paper label, that usually disappeared from use and washing.

From what I see in your photos, I don't see any way of Id'ing this.

It looks like a depression era shell pink milk glass to me. I think I have it in one of my books but I can't find which one. I'll post back if I do find it and the company that made it.

Your bowl is in Hazel Marie Weatherman's Depression Glass Book 2.

It is Shell Pink Milk Glass by Jeannette 8" across Pheasant Bowl. It originally sold for $.75 in 1958-59.

Hi mcjane.

Wouldn't it be fun to go back in time and buy up all these goodies? It would be a super shopping experience!

The book has the catalog price of 75 cents so maybe that's what the stores bought it for. But even if they sold it for $1.50 it would have been a good buy.

Kiara is correct. It's Shell Pink by Jeannette. I've sold several pieces of it (although not this particular bowl) and have always done quite well. You run across it occasionally at yard sales and flea markets and the seller has no idea what it is and is willing to let it go for a song and dance. It can be a VERY high profit margin item. Collectors will jump all over a piece like that. It was only produced for a couple of years. Looks like you hit the jackpot.

Oh kiara, if we only knew.

Because of ebay I found about Holt Howard, made in japan, specially the pixie ware line. I never saw it in the stores back in the sixties & I'll bet it was sold in the 5&10
There was a little H.H. ice cream dish, pixie handle with the word Goo written on it. Sold for well over 1000.00 om ebay. it's listed in the catalog & said none know to exist, of course one showed up on ebay.
Most H.H. pixie ware sells for around 100.00, this was an exception. The stuff is adorable.

I wasn't aware of the value of Pixie ware either until ebay. I agree that it's adorable and I never see any of it when I'm out buying but I'm always looking.

thank you so much for your time and energy in identifying it...I found it at an estate sale for .25 but one of the pheasants beaks is broken off. I will probably just keep it but it is so pretty that i couldn't resist buying it.

Well, I have decided to list this piece and see if it sells with the damage...just trying to poo poo those that throw away everything that is not in perfect condition.

Please wish me luck.

I was at an auction yesterday and this piece came up for sale. It went for $65! And it had a small chip on the rim. So go for it. You can't lose.

I had one of the small butterfly dishes probably 4 inches long and 3 inches wide and I sold it for $35.00 and paid a dime for it. This was at a yard sale and the only reason I picked it up was because they only wanted a dime for it. I had no Idea what I had. Not many of those bargins around anymore.

Good Luck rarrifle I hope you make a mint...
This is what eBay is all about finding treasures at low prices and selling them high.
