I was curios. I currently sell resale items on ebay (bought wholesale, try to make a profit.)

I was wondering what everyone else does...

Garage Sales or Resales?

I do yard sales, thrift stores, and estate sales. I live in the south, so yard sales are very abundant here. We have converted the workshop into inventory (it's probably twice the size of a double-car garage), and stock is literally stacked to the ceiling...

I was considering buying things to resell, but don't have the time or space...

I sell mostly paper items; postcards, travel decals etc. I have alot of dishes to list also, and hope to get to those this spring. Every now and then I'll run across some interesting little item and throw it on for a change, but I like the ease in handling of the smaller flat items. Always open to something new though!!

Small is so good.

I sell new jewelry that someone else somewhere else manufactures. The pickings around here are much too slim to attempt to make a living scrounging at flea markets and garage sales.

I sell anything that isn't nailed to the floor if I think someone else wants to buy it. I specialize in china, pottery, glass and vintage collectables as well as commercial electronics. I have a second account which I use soley for consignment sales, primarily for the same stuff I sell on my primary account.

I sell rubber stamps & have more than 5000 with over 400 different designs.
I mail single stamps in 6 x 3.5" coin envelopes & larger orders in 6 x 10" clasp envelopes. Very easy to pack & mail.
Business is booming & I sell close to 100% of what I list. Only slow time I had was the two weeks before Christmas.

Before I found these stamps I struggled like most sellers trying to find things to sell. It was hard work, but it was fun. I probably will hit some yard sales in the spring, hard to resist maybe finding a treasure.

Mainly older toys from yard sales, estate sales, and thrift shops...but we'll try to sell anything if we think it'll go!

We have 2 sellers accounts. On one we sell Antiques & vintage items. We are fortunate that we live in a large, OLD city just crammed full of OLD houses that are FULL of OLD STUFF!!! It's like HEAVEN some weeks. From April - October there are on average 30 yard sales , estate contents sales and rummage sales in my immediate area every week. Then there are the rural country auctions all week. Stuff goes cheaply and there is plenty of variety. We use our second seller account to sell consigned items ( Antiques, Antique furniture and designer items). We did great last year, our best yet! I have'nt resumed sales this year yet, because I have noticed how slow things are...I'm sure it will pick up in a few weeks and I am definately ready to go! Good Luck to everyone in this New Year!!
