Just gotta share an amusing scenario. Had a gal win my jewelry auction on Jan 10th---sent her 4 friendly e-mails in an attempt to get her to respond to her win. Well she never once replied--so I filed the NPB alert w/ ebay. Again 10 more days No response--so I left her Negative feedback, and then patiently waited the 10 days to file for my return of the Final Value Fees. Immediately, after I filed the FVF refund on yesterday mornings 2-4-2003, I wrote Ebay, and asked that they look into this members history. Less then maybe two hours later I checked this flake again and YIPPIE SKIPPY she was no longer a registered user.
Guess ebay said HMMM 13 Negs in less then 2 weeks --oh yeah and an additional 13 Bid retractions in less then 30 days !!
Because as it was she had bid on and won 99 different jewelry auctions between Dec 27, 20002 -- Jan 24 2003-- Quite excessive wouldnt you agreee? Well here comes the amusing part-- remember now I sent this gal 4 friendly e-mails trying to get her to respond and to no avail. But as soon as I saw she was no longer a registered user the vixen in me just had to e-mail her one more time and to state she got her JUST REWARDS for her less then honorable actions. Furthermore I told her to seek out a mental health clinic because it was clear to me that she had LOST HER MIND. Well guess what?????? She actually found time now to reply to THAT e-mail -- I swear to god I am really LOL hard now. But her reply to my piece of mind email I sent her was stupid and said I didnt have the nerve to use my real e-mail addy (DUH!!!) Yes I did!! Also she claimed that I didnt know how to spell or punctuate. Well arrest me for that one----- LOL ----Geez Id rather be known for paying my bills ON TIME, then my puncuation and spelling correctly! But here really is the best part---She contacted Square Trade for help I guess--even though I believe my advise to her that she seek Mental Health care is much more appropriate--Anyway-she told Sq Trade HUGE LIES to them about how I have sent her threatening & harassing e-mails-and that I live within driving distance from her-and she apparently feels this is unsafe for her (LOL)-Thats a riot I havent a clue where she lives-dont care either-never requested member contact info from ebay-I'm not about to call a flakey winning bidder over $10.00 -and remember now she never responded once to her win, so no way do I have her address let alone even know what state she resides in!! Then she had even a bigger nerve to insinuate to Square Trade
that I'm now somehow responsible for some Porn email she has been getting lately -------- LOL OOOH PLEEEZE -- I understand Desperate people are capable of doing desperate things but woweeee does this gal have a vivid imagination!! She for all I know probably even believes she mailed payment to all the sellers that left her Negative Feedback for Non Pay!
Anyway--I've not dealt with a kook like this one in years - She's like my 6th deadbeat bidder since I started on ebay 1-2-99 --and every one of those failed transactions were ALWAYS $10.00 or less!! Not a whole lotta money to fret over--but the nerve of some people never ceases to amaze me. Well ok I've had my little rant etc., and I'll end this with the auction number 2604513960 for anyone who would like to check and see an out of control bidder who got what she deserved, and in a timely ebay manner for a change.
Sure Sure Sure she'll perhaps somehow, someway, someday be back on ebay bidding again but seeing she wrote Square Trade in a futile attempt to get her DESERVED Negative feedback removed--I suspect she's rowing with one oar, and her boat has a leak.

Some people have discovered that if you sling enough lies, some of them will stick.

The only way to deal with such people is to shrug your shoulders and move on.

Your email was totally un-necessary & only served to throw petrol on the paranoia pyre

The best way to handle flakes is: FILE+BLOCK+IGNORE -- follow the rules & courtesy & eBay will usually support you

Never waste time responding to your bidders (flakes or deadbeats) with comments about mental health. It can easily send them over the edge and may create more problems and more time wasted for you.

My advice is to always act professional like any other business such as Amazon.

tomwiii -- I actually enjoyed that e-mail I sent-that you have deemed unecessary. Some people in this world just dont have the guts to say what they really think.
Myself, I don't mince my words, and nor do I intend to in the future. Like I told Kiara--You do it your way--I'll do it my way!

And sometimes, saying what you really think is not in your own best interest.

I doubt if anyone here has a problem with speaking their mind. <chortle>

Oh Brother--All this great advice---WoW I just remembered why I never post here.

Yup, have run across many posters who come here and want everyone to agree with the way they are handling things. Then if we don't they just grab their toys and head back home.

Do things your way but don't come back here crying if it bites you in the ass.

How do I check an auction with just the auction #? I see a tab for checking by seller or bidder but not by number. When did this change?

Going back to the original piece on this thread. Almost the same thing happened to me yesterday, I had a buyer who bought 2 widgets on an auction that ended on 1/5. Had 1 email from her asking for shipping costs. Gave them to her & never heard again. My TOS says 10 days, but I always send another email on the 10th day & wait a couple days before filing NPB. Filed the NPB using the AW system. Yesterday morning I received an email from another seller asking if I had ever heard from the buyer. She was checking on sellers to see how many were NPB's from this buyer. I told her my problem & then filed for FVF. Gave the buyer a neg. Later I thought I would check on the auctions she was bidding on. WELL!! she was listed as Non Registered User!!.

Click Search at the top of the page. Then put the number in the search box.

Sorry, LITTLE RED CORVETTE, but sending a nasty email to an (obviously) challenged bidder IS un-necessary, childish, and un-professional.

Do ya get yer JOLLIES by being nasty to deadbeats? Is your goal to make moola or is your goal to score psycho-points?

I try always to treat even to worst fruitcakes as I would desire to be treated.

Again, the BIG-BOY & BIG-GIRL method of responding to flakes is:

FILE + BLOCK + IGNORE

gotta share an amusing scenario

Well, it was amusing up to a point. It was over by now as your deadbeat became toast, so what is the point of this as it serves no purpose.
Best not to let your anger get the best of you in these cases. Yeah, yeah, you want to do it your way.
Do you recall the advice you gave someone else who had a problem bidder??? Well, its your lucky day.

Life's too short to chase/deal with the losers of the worldI say move on and exert your energies on a more positive note

I agree with most of the posters. File for FVF then move on. I haven't looked at the auction yet but I do know that there is an addiction when it comes to bidding, gambling or anything else that will give someone a rush. I don't think even an answer after you found out about the NARU was necessary. This is my opinion but is seems to fit in rather well here. Read Sanmar's post he did the right thing.

Like I stated earlier--I NOW REMEMBER why I stopped bothering with posting anything here @ AW. For those of you who could only find fault in my actions, and completely disregard the actions spelled out of the NPB --I find this whole thing ludicrous.
Trust me when I say--I'm not dwelling on this gal-- I blocked her e-mail -- It wasnt that big of a deal--I just found humor in how crazy she acted-thought I'd share my experience -APPARENTLY there are A WHOLE LOTTA people who just love to respond here just to see there opinion. Or pitch there web site, or just love to find fault in any and everything a poster does and says. As far as the NPB lunatic finding me--OMG she cant even find her money to pay all the sellers she stiffed LOL--Certainly she wont find me-- Some of you people act like everybody uses AW Community board to __ LOL -- NOT
So lets just end this BS - its got no where to go I agree. Never in a million years did I think I'd have all these UPPITY responses.
Take a CHILL PILL folks --- Pretty certain I didnt ask whether I'd done the right thing or not. My 1,000+ POS feedback speaks for itself So whatever ya'all feel a need to say--knock yourselves out--

What a concept!!! I am going to open an chain of ebay recovery centers. NPB in tiny padded rooms with screens showing auctions down to the last seconds all computers in the center of course will have no internet.

Take a CHILL PILL folks
Good advice, heed it! I do not think that anyone is down on you at all, seems people just do not agree on your over kill when the now defunct bidder became naru.

For those of you who could only find fault in my actions, and completely disregard the actions spelled out of the NPB,I find this whole thing ludicrous.

No one faults you for filing npb and your fees, thats the way to go.

What you do not seem to understand is that most people do not agree that emailing the now naru bidder just to raise hell makes no sense.

It wasnt that big of a deal-I just found humor in how crazy she acted-thought I'd share my experience

Nothing wrong with that, its just that you did not get the response you wanted.

Furthermore I told her to seek out a mental health clinic because it was clear to me that she had LOST HER MIND.

And this is what? normal? I do hope you have better luck with your other bidders, but try not to lose your cool if things go south.
