Relax. What have you done wrong? Disclose the chip? Offer to take it back? Puleeze! You are letting the whiner get to you. Let him go to Safe Harbor. I don't think they will do anything at all. I just hope you didn't already leave FB.

If he used PayPal or a credit card he may try to do a chargeback. Keep a hard copy of the email where you offered the refund on return. And one of his refusal to return it. The chargeback rules are that he must make a good faith effort to return it and you must refuse. Otherwise he has no case and you can get the chargeback reversed.

Send him a bill for another $20.00
That would be a better price!

You have justed learned rule number 1. NEVER EVER leave a customer a pos. feedback until you get one from them. Some Ebay buyers are bottom feeding dirt bags. I have sold thousands of items on Ebay and have 5 negs. 4 are from dirt bag buyers 1 I deseved.

Yes Mitch - if you only you had not left feedback none of this would be happening.

Credit card chargebacks disappear once you refuse to leave feedback first.

Shipping problems cease immeidately after you refuse to leave feedback first.

Careless postal employees that abuse packages are suddenly reformed you refuse to leave feedback first.

Your credit card interest rate drops to 4.9% after you refuse to leave feedback first.

Your kids are always home 15 minutes before curfew, do the dishes every night, take out the trash and clean the litter box without being asked once you you refuse to leave feedback first.

Aren't you glad that you have now been introduced to this magical cure-all?

But seriously - the feedback obsession here is getting a little scary. I think Mitch here is more worried about the possibilty of getting hit with a chargeback a month or so down the line than the buyer is about a negative comment left about hi in cyberspace.

There was a slight chip on the item that he was told about. Now he's finding fault,, make's me offers which are much less then he paid.

just lay it on the line with this person. They knew about the chip as it was in the descripion. They got what they paid for, end of story! This sounds like a bottom feeder who now wants a cheaper price.

As far as S.T. goes, they can not do anything to you. If you do answer them just state your side and sent them a copy of the descripion. Do not waste time with them as far as the neg goes as they want $20.00.

As far as feedback goes, do what works for you. Bet If you did not leave it first you would not be having this problem now.

You did not state how they paid you, was it a CC payment? Then all you can do is insist they return the item first so you can check it over before refunding. If other means, then at least you have an option.
